2023-05-27perf pmus: Remove perf_pmus__has_hybridIan Rogers1-5/+2
perf_pmus__has_hybrid was used to detect when there was >1 core PMU, this can be achieved with perf_pmus__num_core_pmus that doesn't depend upon is_pmu_hybrid and PMU name comparisons. When modifying the function calls take the opportunity to improve comments, enable/simplify tests that were previously failing for hybrid but now pass and to simplify generic code. Division by zero causes expression parsing to fail and no metric to be generated. This can mean for short running benchmarks metrics are not shown. Bugs with double aggregation have been introduced because of aggregation of counters and again with saved_value. Remove the generic metric use-case. 2022-10-27perf stat: Allocate evsel->stats->aggr properlyNamhyung Kim1-1/+1
The perf_stat_config.aggr_map should have a correct size of the aggregation map. Use it to allocate aggr_counts. Also AGGR_NONE with per-core events can be tricky because it doesn't aggreate basically but it needs to do so for per-core events only. So only per-core evsels will have stats->aggr data. Note that other caller of evlist__alloc_stat() might not have stat_config or aggr_map. Preparation for hiding pmu_events_map as an implementation detail. While the map is passed, the table of events is all that is normally wanted. It turned out that the above listed function call chain worked on a struct pmu_event array which requires a trailing element with zeroes which was missing. The marco map_for_each_event() loops over that array tests for members metric_expr/metric_name/metric_group being non-NULL. Adding this element fixes the issue. Keeping the stack of nested metrics via 'struct expr_id' objects and checking if we are in recursion via already processed metric. The stack is implemented as static array within the struct egroup with 100 entries, which should be enough nesting depth for any metric we have or plan to have at the moment.
