2024-01-19wifi: brcmfmac: cfg80211: Use WSEC to set SAE passwordHector Martin1-0/+1
Using the WSEC command instead of sae_password seems to be the supported mechanism on newer firmware, and also how the brcmdhd driver does it. The existing firmware mechanism intended for (some) Cypress chips has been separated from the new firmware mechanism using the multi-vendor framework. Depending on the device it will select the appropriate firmware mechanism. This makes WPA3 work with iwd, or with wpa_supplicant pending a support patchset [2]. 2024-01-19wifi: brcmfmac: export firmware interface functionsArend van Spriel1-108/+7
With multi-vendor support the vendor-specific module may need to use the firmware interface functions so export them using the macro BRCMF_EXPORT_SYMBOL_GPL() which exports them to driver namespace. This recently added macro provides more meaningful error messages thanks to identifying a specific wiphy. It's especially important on systems with few cards supported by the same (brcmfmac) driver. 2018-03-27brcmfmac: do not convert linux error to firmware error stringArend Van Spriel1-2/+1
In case of a linux error brcmf_fil_cmd_data() blurts an error message in which the error code is translated to an error string. However, it maps it to a firmware error string which should not happen. Simply print only the numeric error code and be done with it. 2018-03-07brcmfmac: add possibility to obtain firmware errorArend Van Spriel1-0/+3
The feature module needs to evaluate the actual firmware error return upon a control command. This adds a flag to struct brcmf_if that the caller can set. This flag is checked to determine the error code that needs to be returned. 2018-01-24brcmfmac: separate firmware errors from i/o errorsArend Van Spriel1-5/+11
When using the firmware api it can fail simply because firmware does not like the request or it fails due to issues in the host interface. Currently, there is only a single error code which is confusing. So adding a parameter to pass the firmware error separately and in case of a firmware error always return -EBADE to user-space. 2018-01-24brcmfmac: assure bcdc dcmd api does not return value > 0Arend Van Spriel1-5/+3
The protocol layer api defines callbacks for dongle commands. Although not really well documented these should only return an error code in case of an error, or 0 upon success. In the bcdc protocol it can return value above 0 and we carry a fix in the caller of the protocol layer api. This patch makes it adhere to the intent of the api as described above. 2015-11-30brcmfmac: Return actual error by fwil.Hante Meuleman1-1/+2
FWIL is always mapping back errors to EBADE. This is not very conventient when trying to understand problems by reading logs. Some callers print the error code, but that is quite useless when the exact error code is not returned. It also makes it impossible to differentiate based on error code. This patch changes the return of EBADE into the actual error code.
