2023-12-06drm/amd/display: Initialize writeback connectorAlex Hung1-1/+2
[WHAT] Create a drm_writeback_connector when connector signal equals SIGNAL_TYPE_VIRTUAL. Tested-by: Daniel Wheeler <[email protected]> Reviewed-by: Harry Wentland <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Alex Hung <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Alex Deucher <[email protected]>
2023-12-06drm/amd/display: Skip entire amdgpu_dm build if !CONFIG_DRM_AMD_DCHarry Wentland1-5/+8
[WHY] Previously this only excluded build for a few amdgpu_dm binaries which makes no sense. [HOW] Wrap the entire Makefile in "ifneq ($(CONFIG_DRM_AMD_DC),)" Tested-by: Daniel Wheeler <[email protected]> Reviewed-by: Alex Hung <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Harry Wentland <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Alex Hung <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Alex Deucher <[email protected]>

2023-03-07drm/amd/display: Rename DCN config to FPHarry Wentland1-1/+1
[Why & How] The only reason we have the DCN config is for floating point support. Rename it to make that clear and (hopefully) avoid misuse of the config in the future. 2022-07-25drm/amd/display: Create a file dedicated for CRTCRodrigo Siqueira1-0/+1
[Why] The amdgpu_dm file contains most of the code that works as an interface between DRM API and DC. As a result, this file becomes very large since it comprises multiple abstractions such as CRTC manipulation. [How] This commit extracts the CRTC code to its specific file named amdgpu_dm_crtc. This change does not change anything inside the functions; the only exception is converting some static functions to a global function. v2: fix ifdef merge mix up (Alex) Tested-by: Daniel Wheeler <[email protected]> Reviewed-by: Harry Wentland <[email protected]> Acked-by: Alan Liu <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Rodrigo Siqueira <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Alex Deucher <[email protected]>

2021-08-05drm/amd/display: Add control mechanism for FPURodrigo Siqueira1-0/+4
DC invokes DC_FPU_START/END in multiple parts of the code; this can create a situation where we invoke this FPU operation in a nested way or exit too early. For avoiding this situation, this commit adds a mechanism where dc_fpu_begin/end manages the access to kernel_fpu_begin/end. Change since V3: - Christian: Move PPC64 code to dc_fpu_begin/end. Change since V2: - Christian: Do not use this_cpu_* between get/put_cpu_ptr(). Change since V1: - Use a better variable names - Use get_cpu_ptr and put_cpu_ptr to better balance preemption enable and disable Cc: Harry Wentland <[email protected]> Cc: Anson Jacob <[email protected]> Cc: Christian König <[email protected]> Cc: Hersen Wu <[email protected]> Cc: Aric Cyr <[email protected]> Cc: Jun Lei <[email protected]> Cc: Dmytro Laktyushkin <[email protected]> Cc: Qingqing Zhuo <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Rodrigo Siqueira <[email protected]> Reviewed-by: Christian König <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Alex Deucher <[email protected]>
