2024-09-05Merge tag 'qcom-drivers-for-6.12' of ↵Arnd Bergmann3-42/+39
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/qcom/linux into soc/drivers Qualcomm driver updates for v6.12 Support is added for making SCM driver configure the system either for a full or minimal ramdump following a system crash. The ramdump mode is changed from being enable-only to enable/disable as requested. The QSEECOM uefisecapp interface is allow-listed on Surface Laptop 7 and Lenovo Thinkpad T14s, providing EFI variable access. The change to match the SMD RPM driver based on the SMD channel name is reverted, in favor of stepping back to OF-based matching, as a means to get module autoloading to work properly. AOSS, APR, ICE, OCMEM, PBS and SMP2P drivers has error handling cleaned up using scoped resources. Trace events are added to the BWMON and SMP2P drivers, for better insights into their operations. The X1E LLCC configuration data is updated based on recommended values. A number of platforms are added to the in-kernel PD-mapper. 2024-06-12dt-bindings: soc: qcom,smsm: Allow specifying mboxes instead of qcom,ipcLuca Weiss1-9/+21
The qcom,ipc-N properties are essentially providing a reference to a mailbox, so allow using the mboxes property to do the same in a more structured way. Since multiple SMSM hosts are supported, we need to be able to provide the correct mailbox for each host. The old qcom,ipc-N properties map to the mboxes property by index, starting at 0 since that's a valid SMSM host also. Mark the older qcom,ipc-N as deprecated and update the example with mboxes. The Qualcomm SPM / SAW2 device is described in two bindigns files: arm/msm/qcom,saw2.txt and soc/qcom/qcom,spm.yaml. Merge the former into the latter, adding detailed device node description. While we are at it, also rename qcom,spm.yaml to qcom,saw2.yaml to follow the actual compatible used for these devices. The regulator property is retained as is. It will be changed in the later patches. 2023-07-13dt-bindings: remoteproc: Add Qualcomm RPM processor/subsystemStephan Gerhold2-3/+10
On Qualcomm platforms, most subsystems (e.g. audio/modem DSP) are described as remote processors in the device tree, with a dedicated node where properties and services related to them can be described. The Resource Power Manager (RPM) is also such a subsystem, with a remote processor that is running a special firmware. Unfortunately, the RPM never got a dedicated node representing it properly in the device tree. Most of the RPM services are described below a top-level /smd or /rpm-glink node. However, SMD/GLINK is just one of the communication channels to the RPM firmware. For example, the MPM interrupt functionality provided by the RPM does not use SMD/GLINK but writes directly to a special memory region allocated by the RPM firmware in combination with a mailbox. Currently there is no good place in the device tree to describe this functionality. It doesn't belong below SMD/GLINK but it's not an independent top-level device either. Introduce a new "qcom,rpm-proc" compatible that allows describing the RPM as a remote processor/subsystem like all others. The SMD/GLINK node is moved to a "smd-edge"/"glink-edge" subnode consistent with other existing bindings. Additional subnodes (e.g. interrupt-controller for MPM, rpm-master-stats) can be also added there. Deprecate using the old top-level /smd node since all SMD edges are now specified as subnodes of the remote processor.
