2024-08-01selftests: user: remove user suiteMuhammad Usama Anjum1-9/+0
The user test suite has only one test, test_user_copy which loads test_user_copy module for testing. But test_user_copy module has already been converted to kunit (see fixes). Hence remove the entire suite. 2019-05-21treewide: Add SPDX license identifier - Makefile/KconfigThomas Gleixner1-0/+1
Add SPDX license identifiers to all Make/Kconfig files which: - Have no license information of any form These files fall under the project license, GPL v2 only. The resulting SPDX license identifier is: GPL-2.0-only Signed-off-by: Thomas Gleixner <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <[email protected]>
2015-03-13selftests: Introduce minimal shared logic for running testsMichael Ellerman1-2/+3
This adds a Make include file which most selftests can then include to get the run_tests logic. On its own this has the advantage of some reduction in repetition, and also means the pass/fail message is defined in fewer places. However the key advantage is it will allow us to implement install very simply in a subsequent patch. The default implementation just executes each program in $(TEST_PROGS). We use a variable to hold the default implementation of $(RUN_TESTS) because that gives us a clean way to override it if necessary, ie. using override. The mount, memory-hotplug and mqueue tests use that to provide a different implementation. Tests are not run via /bin/bash, so if they are scripts they must be executable, we add a+x to several. 2014-11-17selftests/user: move test out of Makefile into a shell scriptShuah Khan1-7/+1
Currently user copy test is run from the Makefile. Move it out of the Makefile to be run from a shell script to allow the test to be run as stand-alone test, in addition to allowing the test run from a make target. Signed-off-by: Shuah Khan <[email protected]>
2014-01-23test: check copy_to/from_user boundary validationKees Cook1-0/+13
To help avoid an architecture failing to correctly check kernel/user boundaries when handling copy_to_user, copy_from_user, put_user, or get_user, perform some simple tests and fail to load if any of them behave unexpectedly. Specifically, this is to make sure there is a way to notice if things like what was fixed in commit 8404663f81d2 ("ARM: 7527/1: uaccess: explicitly check __user pointer when !CPU_USE_DOMAINS") ever regresses again, for any architecture. Additionally, adds new "user" selftest target, which loads this module.
