2023-11-30selftests: tc-testing: remove spurious './' from MakefilePedro Tammela1-1/+1
Patchwork CI didn't like the extra './', so remove it. Signed-off-by: Pedro Tammela <[email protected]> Acked-by: Jamal Hadi Salim <[email protected]> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/[email protected] Signed-off-by: Jakub Kicinski <[email protected]>
2023-11-27selftests: tc-testing: remove buildebpf pluginPedro Tammela1-27/+2
As tdc only tests loading/deleting and anything more complicated is better left to the ebpf test suite, provide a pre-compiled version of 'action.c' and don't bother compiling it in kselftests or on the fly at all. 2023-10-18selftests: tc-testing: move auxiliary scripts to a dedicated folderPedro Tammela1-1/+1
Some taprio tests need auxiliary scripts to wait for workqueue events to process. Move them to a dedicated folder in order to package them for the kselftests tarball. 2023-06-29bpf: Replace deprecated -target with --target= for ClangFangrui Song1-1/+1
The -target option has been deprecated since clang 3.4 in 2013. Therefore, use the preferred --target=bpf form instead. This also matches how we use --target= in scripts/Makefile.clang. 2022-07-11selftests: stop using KSFT_KHDR_INSTALLGuillaume Tucker1-1/+0
Stop using the KSFT_KHDR_INSTALL flag as installing the kernel headers from the kselftest Makefile is causing some issues. Instead, rely on the headers to be installed directly by the top-level Makefile "headers_install" make target prior to building kselftest. 2021-01-29tools: Factor Clang, LLC and LLVM utils definitionsSedat Dilek1-2/+1
When dealing with BPF/BTF/pahole and DWARF v5 I wanted to build bpftool. While looking into the source code I found duplicate assignments in misc tools for the LLVM eco system, e.g. clang and llvm-objcopy. Move the Clang, LLC and/or LLVM utils definitions to tools/scripts/Makefile.include file and add missing includes where needed. Honestly, I was inspired by the commit c8a950d0d3b9 ("tools: Factor HOSTCC, HOSTLD, HOSTAR definitions"). I tested with bpftool and perf on Debian/testing AMD64 and LLVM/Clang v11.1.0-rc1. Build instructions: [ make and make-options ] MAKE="make V=1" MAKE_OPTS="HOSTCC=clang HOSTCXX=clang++ HOSTLD=ld.lld CC=clang LD=ld.lld LLVM=1 LLVM_IAS=1" MAKE_OPTS="$MAKE_OPTS PAHOLE=/opt/pahole/bin/pahole" [ clean-up ] $MAKE $MAKE_OPTS -C tools/ clean [ bpftool ] $MAKE $MAKE_OPTS -C tools/bpf/bpftool/ [ perf ] PYTHON=python3 $MAKE $MAKE_OPTS -C tools/perf/ I was careful with respecting the user's wish to override custom compiler, linker, GNU/binutils and/or LLVM utils settings. 2020-07-20tc-testing: Add tdc to kselftestsBriana Oursler1-0/+33
Add tdc to existing kselftest infrastructure so that it can be run with existing kselftests. TDC now generates objects in objdir/kselftest without cluttering main objdir, leaves source directory clean, and installs correctly in kselftest_install, properly adding itself to run_kselftest.sh script. Add tc-testing as a target of selftests/Makefile. Create tdc.sh to run tdc.py targets with correct arguments. To support single target from selftest/Makefile, combine tc-testing/bpf/Makefile and tc-testing/Makefile. Move action.c up a directory to tc-testing/. Tested with: make O=/tmp/{objdir} TARGETS="tc-testing" kselftest cd /tmp/{objdir} cd kselftest cd tc-testing ./tdc.sh make -C tools/testing/selftests/ TARGETS=tc-testing run_tests make TARGETS="tc-testing" kselftest cd tools/testing/selftests ./kselftest_install.sh /tmp/exampledir My VM doesn't run all the kselftests so I commented out all except my target and net/pmtu.sh then: cd /tmp/exampledir && ./run_kselftest.sh Co-developed-by: Davide Caratti <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Davide Caratti <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Briana Oursler <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: David S.
