2015-07-05tools: Move rbtree.h from tools/perf/Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo1-104/+0
The previous step, copying the contents minus the rcupdate.h parts, was done as a minimal fix, now do the move from tools/perf/. 2015-07-05perf tools: Copy rbtree.h from the kernelArnaldo Carvalho de Melo1-2/+90
We were using the include/linux/rbtree.h directly from the kernel, which broke the build as soon as it started using rcupdate.h, to avoid dragging the rcu header files into tools/, for which there is no use so far, grab a copy of rbtree.h. This is the minimal fix, later patches will copy as well lib/rbtree.c and move rbtree.h into tools/include/, etc. Cc: Adrian Hunter <[email protected]> Cc: Borislav Petkov <[email protected]> Cc: David Ahern <[email protected]> Cc: Frederic Weisbecker <[email protected]> Cc: Jiri Olsa <[email protected]> Cc: Namhyung Kim <[email protected]> Cc: Stephane Eranian <[email protected]> Link: http://lkml.kernel.org/n/[email protected] Signed-off-by: Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo <[email protected]>
2015-05-27perf tools: Import rb_erase_init from block/ in the kernel sourcesArnaldo Carvalho de Melo1-0/+14
I was assuming rb_erase() was setting things up like list_del_init, but the fact that thread__delete() was being sucessfull is because the last thing before deleting is to remove the thread from the machine->dead_threads list, using list_del_init(), that has the same effect as using rb_erase_init()... Introduce this function so that we can use it when removing objects from rb_trees. Then we will be able to BUG_ON(still on a list) in destructors. 2012-10-11perf: fix duplicate header inclusionMichel Lespinasse1-1/+0
#include <stdbool.h> somehow got duplicated on its way to linus's tree (probably as a conflict resolution as things got sent through multiple trees) Signed-off-by: Michel Lespinasse <[email protected]> Cc: Adrian Hunter <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <[email protected]>
2012-10-09rbtree: adjust node color in __rb_erase_color() only when necessaryMichel Lespinasse1-0/+1
In __rb_erase_color(), we were always setting a node to black after exiting the main loop. And in one case, after fixing up the tree to satisfy all rbtree invariants, we were setting the current node to root just to guarantee a loop exit, at which point the root would be set to black. However this is not necessary, as the root of an rbtree is already known to be black. The only case where the color flip is required is when we exit the loop due to the current node being red, and it's easiest to just do the flip at that point instead of doing it after the loop. 2009-07-01perf_counter tools: Share rbtree.with the kernelArnaldo Carvalho de Melo1-0/+1
The tools/perf/util/rbtree.c copy already drifted by three csets: 4b324126e0c6c3a5080ca3ec0981e8766ed6f1ee 4c60117811171d867d4f27f17ea07d7419d45dae 16c047add3ceaf0ab882e3e094d1ec904d02312d So remove the copy and use the lib/rbtree.c directly, sharing the source code while still generating a separate object file, since tools/perf uses a far more agressive -O6 switch.
