2023-08-02fs: add CONFIG_BUFFER_HEADChristoph Hellwig1-0/+1
Add a new config option that controls building the buffer_head code, and select it from all file systems and stacking drivers that need it. For the block device nodes and alternative iomap based buffered I/O path is provided when buffer_head support is not enabled, and iomap needs a a small tweak to define the IOMAP_F_BUFFER_HEAD flag to 0 to not call into the buffer_head code when it doesn't exist. Otherwise this is just Kconfig and ifdef changes. 2023-01-26fs: build the legacy direct I/O code conditionallyChristoph Hellwig1-0/+1
Add a new LEGACY_DIRECT_IO config symbol that is only selected by the file systems that still use the legacy blockdev_direct_IO code, so that kernels without support for those file systems don't need to build the code. 2018-08-22hfsplus: drop ACL supportErnesto A. Fernández1-15/+0
The HFS+ Access Control Lists have not worked at all for the past five years, and nobody seems to have noticed. Besides, POSIX draft ACLs are not compatible with MacOS. Drop the feature entirely. 2013-09-11hfsplus: add necessary declarations for POSIX ACLs supportVyacheslav Dubeyko1-0/+18
This patchset implements POSIX ACLs support in hfsplus driver. Mac OS X beginning with version 10.4 ("Tiger") support NFSv4 ACLs, which are part of the NFSv4 standard. HFS+ stores ACLs in the form of specially named extended attributes (com.apple.system.Security). But this patchset doesn't use "com.apple.system.Security" extended attributes. It implements support of POSIX ACLs in the form of extended attributes with names "system.posix_acl_access" and "system.posix_acl_default". These xattrs are treated only under Linux. POSIX ACLs doesn't mean something under Mac OS X. Thereby, this patch set provides opportunity to use POSIX ACLs under Linux on HFS+ filesystem. This patch: Add CONFIG_HFSPLUS_FS_POSIX_ACL kernel configuration option, DBG_ACL_MOD debugging flag and acl.h file with declaration of essential functions for support POSIX ACLs in hfsplus driver.
