2023-03-19pinctrl: ralink: move to mediatek as mtmipsArınç ÜNAL10-1299/+0
This platform from Ralink was acquired by MediaTek in 2011. Then, MediaTek introduced new SoCs which utilise this platform. Move the driver to mediatek pinctrl directory. Add new compatible strings to make every SoC, or SoCs that use the same pinmux data have a unique compatible string. This ensures that the pin muxing information of every SoC, or a set of SoCs that use the same pinmux data can be properly documented. These variables define a list of functions which can be muxed to the pin group which the name of the pin group was originally intended to be pointed out on the name of the said variables. Therefore, rename "func" to "grp" across all subdrivers where this applies. 2022-07-11pinctrl: ralink: Check for null return of devm_kcallocWilliam Dean1-0/+2
Because of the possible failure of the allocation, data->domains might be NULL pointer and will cause the dereference of the NULL pointer later. Therefore, it might be better to check it and directly return -ENOMEM without releasing data manually if fails, because the comment of the devm_kmalloc() says "Memory allocated with this function is automatically freed on driver detach.". 2022-04-23pinctrl: ralink: add new compatible strings for each pinctrl subdriverArınç ÜNAL5-10/+10
As seen on any other pinctrl subdriver that calls code from a main driver, each subdriver needs to have a different compatible string. We don't want the same compatible string to match a different subdriver's pinmux data as it's not for our SoC. Therefore, add new compatible strings for each pinctrl subdriver. Change driver name on all subdrivers accordingly. Header 'rt305x.h' is ralink architecture dependent file where other general definitions which are in 'ralink_regs.h' are being used. This 'rt305x.h' is only being included in two different files: 'rt305x.c' and 'pinctrl-rt305x.c'. When file 'pinctrl-rt305x.c' is being compiled definitions in 'ralink_regs.h' are need to build it properly. Hence, add missing include 'ralink_regs.h' in 'pinctrl-rt305x.c' source to avoid compilation problems. Ralink architecture is making use of the header located in 'arch/mips/include/asm/mach-ralink/pinmux.h' to stablish the mechanisms to make derived SoCs to set its pin functions and groups. In order to move all architecture pinmux into a more accurate place which is 'drivers/pinctrl/ralink' we have to first of all move this file also there with a small modification which creates 'rt2880_pinmux_init' function to allow SoCs pinctrl drivers to pass its configuration to the common code located in 'pinctrl-rt2880.c' file. In 'rt2880_pmx_group_enable' driver is printing an error and returning -EBUSY if a pin has been already enabled. This begets anoying messages in the caller when this happens like the following: rt2880-pinmux pinctrl: pcie is already enabled mt7621-pci 1e140000.pcie: Error applying setting, reverse things back To avoid this just print the already enabled message in the pinctrl driver and return 0 instead to not confuse the user with a real bad problem. These Socs have 1-3 banks of 8-32 gpios. Rather then setting the muxing of each pin individually, these socs have mux groups that when set will effect 1-N pins. Pin groups have a 2, 4 or 8 different muxes.
