2024-06-26wifi: iwlwifi: mvm: don't limit VLP/AFC to UATS-enabledJohannes Berg1-2/+0
When UATS isn't enabled (no VLP/AFC AP support), we need to still set the right bits in the channel/regulatory flags, so remove the uats_enabled argument to the parsing etc. Also, firmware deals just fine with getting the UATS table if it supports the command even if the bits aren't set, so always send it, since it's also needed if BIT(31) is set, but the driver need not have any knowledge of that. Remove 'uats_enabled' entirely. fw_running assumes that memory can be retrieved only after alive. This assumption is no longer true as we support dump before alive. To avoid invalid access to the NIC, check that STATUS_DEVICE_ENABLED bit in trans status is set before dumping instead of the prior check. iwl_fw_dbg_collect_sync() unconditionally accesses 'trig' at the beginning of the function, even though the data has an inner union and 'trig' isn't necessarily always used, it can be 'desc' instead. Add comments clarifying why this is OK, that 'trig'/'desc' must be first in the struct and how in it the use of the union's sub-structs is differentiated. 2024-02-08wifi: iwlwifi: take SGOM and UATS code out of ACPI ifdefMiri Korenblit1-3/+1
The BIOS tables SGOM and UATS are read from UEFI, but require additional tables (WGDS and DSM func 3, respectively) which used to be read from ACPI only, so the code handling those tables had to be under ifdef ACPI. But now the driver reads those tables (WGDS and DSM) from both ACPI and UEFI, so SGOM and UATS code shouldn't be under ifdef ACPI anymore. 2024-02-02wifi: iwlwifi: validate PPAG table when sent to FWMiri Korenblit1-1/+0
We used to check enablement/validity of the PPAG table while reading it from BIOS. For newer FWs this checks were offloaded, and the driver needs to send the PPAG table anyway. The desicion whether the table needs to be validated before sending it is FW related and shouln't be in 'read-from-bios' flow. Move it to 'send-to-fw' flow instead. This will also help to avoid code duplication of checking validity in both ACPI and UEFI caes. 2024-02-02wifi: iwlwifi: prepare for reading SAR tables from UEFIMiri Korenblit1-2/+5
The driver will support reading BIOS tables from UEFI too. Refactor the SAR tables (WRDS, EWRD, WGDS) flows: 1. Move all the SAR logic/definitions that is common to both UEFI and ACPI to a new file - regulatory.h/c. 2. Rename the relevant functions/definitions so it will be clear which is ACPI specific and which is for both ACPI and UEFI 3. Rename the function that copies the stored tables into the different commands structures, so will be clear what these functions do. 2024-02-02wifi: iwlwifi: implement GLAI ACPI table loadingMiri Korenblit1-0/+4
All the regulatory tables from BIOS are going to be loaded (preferably) from the UEFI instead of the ACPI. There is a security issue with the fact that anyone can add these UEFI variables. The solution for that is to have a lock for all WIFI GUID UEFI variables, and only if the UEFI variables are locked then we can read it. The status of the lock (unlocked, locked, test mode) is indicated in a ACPI table: Guid Lock ACPI Indicator. 2021-12-21iwlwifi: mvm: always store the PPAG table as the latest version.Miri Korenblit1-1/+2
In case of a conflict between BIOS version and FW version of the PPAG table - the values arrive in the FW in the wrong places. This happens because we're storing the table in different structures depending on the BIOS version, not on the FW version, and so the FW doesn't get what it expect to. Always store the table in a v2 structure (which is a superset of v1 and v0). Also store the table in a structured way and in it's own structure, rather then storing it in the ppag command structure, similarly to the WRDS, EWRD and WGDS tables. 2021-10-22iwlwifi: fw dump: add infrastructure for dump scrubbingJohannes Berg1-0/+5
In firmware dumps, currently all kinds of key material may be included, e.g. in host commands (if firmware crashes during the processing of a key-related command) or in the TX FIFO(s) if we have been using in-TX-command key material. Additionally, some firmware versions will advertise sections of their internal data to not dump, due to them containing some sensitive data. Add some infrastructure to allow scrubbing this data out, as dependent on the opmode's idea of what will need to be done. When a dump trigger is fired, the driver sets IWL_FWRT_STATUS_DUMPING and aborts any consecutive dump collection. To allow consecutive triggers firing, use 5 dump workers and allocate them upon incoming dump collection requests. This functionality is needed since in ini debug mode each trigger may have entirely different memory regions to collect unlike the legacy mode in which all the triggers dump the same memory regions. Separate between ini and legacy dump flows to allow adding ini triggers that are not supported in the legacy flow and to increase readabilty. iwl_fw_dbg_ini_collect function is now called with legacy trigger id and _iwl_fw_dbg_ini_collect is called with ini trigger id. Also make the actual dumping function static so that any dump collection will go through iwl_fw_dbg_collect_sync. 2019-02-14iwlwifi: dbg: buffer overflow in non_collect_ts_start arrayShahar S Matityahu1-1/+1
The size of the buffer is IWL_FW_TRIGGER_ID_NUM - 1 which is equal to IWL_FW_TRIGGER_ID_HOST_CHANNEL_SWITCH_COMPLETE so if the driver receives this trigger, it will cause a buffer overflow. Solve this by increasing the buffer size by 1.
