When the source device is operating above 1.5 Gbps per lane, it needs to
send the Skew Calibration Sequence before sending any HS data. If the
DPHY is initialized after the source stream is started, then it might
miss the sequence and not be able to receive data properly. Move the
start of source subdev to the end of the sequence to make sure
everything is ready to receive data before the source starts streaming.

Since commit 1029939b3782 ("media: v4l: async: Simplify async sub-device fwnode matching"),
async connections are matched using the async sub-device fwnode, not that
of the endpoint. Fix this by using the fwnode of the connection match to
find the pad.

The subdev .init_cfg() operation is affected by two issues:
- It has long been extended to initialize a whole v4l2_subdev_state
instead of just a v4l2_subdev_pad_config, but its name has stuck
around.
- Despite operating on a whole subdev state and not being directly
exposed to the subdev users (either in-kernel or through the userspace
API), .init_cfg() is categorized as a subdev pad operation.
This participates in making the subdev API confusing for new developers.
Fix it by renaming the operation to .init_state(), and make it a subdev
internal operation.

Additionally drivers/media/i2c/s5k5baf.c and
drivers/media/platform/samsung/s3c-camif/camif-capture.c have been
manually changed as Coccinelle didn't. Further local variables have been
removed as they became unused as a result of the other changes.
Also Coccinelle introduced indentation by space in files
drivers/media/i2c/st-mipid02.c and
drivers/media/platform/rockchip/rkisp1/rkisp1-isp.c. This has been also
corrected.

Firstly, there is no VC_EN bit present in the STREAM_DATA_CFG register.
Bit 31 is part of the VL_SELECT field. Remove it completely.
Secondly, it makes little sense to enable ith virtual channel for ith
stream. Sure, there might be a use-case that demands it. But there might
also be a use case that demands all streams to use the 0th virtual
channel. Prefer this case over the former because it is less arbitrary
and also makes it very clear what the limitations of the current driver
is instead of giving a false impression that multiple virtual channels
are supported.

The notifier is added to the global notifier list when registered. When
the module is removed, the struct csi2rx_priv in which the notifier is
embedded, is destroyed. As a result the notifier list has a reference to
a notifier that no longer exists. This causes invalid memory accesses
when the list is iterated over. Similar for when the probe fails.
Unregister and clean up the notifier to avoid this.

Set the v4l2_device already in async notifier init, so struct device
related to it will be available before the notifier is registered. This
requires separating notifier initialisation into two functions, one that
takes v4l2_device as its argument, v4l2_async_nf_init and
v4l2_async_subdev_nf_init, for sub-device notifiers. Registering the
notifier will use a single function, v4l2_async_nf_register.
This is done in order to make struct device available earlier, during
construction of the async connections, for sensible debug prints.

Rename v4l2_async_subdev as v4l2_async_connection, in order to
differentiate between the sub-devices and their connections: one
sub-device can have many connections but the V4L2 async framework has so
far allowed just a single one. Connections in this context will later
translate into either MC ancillary or data links.
This patch prepares changing that relation by changing existing users of
v4l2_async_subdev to switch to v4l2_async_connection. Async sub-devices
themselves will not be needed anymore
Additionally, __v4l2_async_nf_add_subdev() has been renamed
__v4l2_async_nf_add_connection().

The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes
many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by
returning an error code. However the value returned is (mostly) ignored
and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve here there is a
quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first step of this
quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new() which already returns
void.
Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove
callback to the void returning variant.

media Kconfig has two entries associated to V4L API:
VIDEO_DEV and VIDEO_V4L2.
On Kernel 2.6.x, there were two V4L APIs, each one with its own flag.
VIDEO_DEV were meant to:
1) enable Video4Linux and make its Kconfig options to appear;
2) it makes the Kernel build the V4L core.
while VIDEO_V4L2 where used to distinguish between drivers that
implement the newer API and drivers that implemented the former one.
With time, such meaning changed, specially after the removal of
all V4L version 1 drivers.
At the current implementation, VIDEO_DEV only does (1): it enables
the media options related to V4L, that now has:
menu "Video4Linux options"
visible if VIDEO_DEV
source "drivers/media/v4l2-core/Kconfig"
endmenu
but it doesn't affect anymore the V4L core drivers.
The rationale is that the V4L2 core has a "soft" dependency
at the I2C bus, and now requires to select a number of other
Kconfig options:
config VIDEO_V4L2
tristate
depends on (I2C || I2C=n) && VIDEO_DEV
select RATIONAL
select VIDEOBUF2_V4L2 if VIDEOBUF2_CORE
default (I2C || I2C=n) && VIDEO_DEV
In the past, merging them would be tricky, but it seems that it is now
possible to merge those symbols, in order to simplify V4L dependencies.
Let's keep VIDEO_DEV, as this one is used on some make *defconfig
configurations.

Right now, platform dependencies are organized by the type of
the platform driver. Yet, things tend to become very messy with
time. The better seems to organize the drivers per manufacturer,
as other Kernel subsystems are doing.
As a preparation for such purpose, get rid of menuconfigs,
moving the per-menu dependencies to be at the driver-specifig
config entires.
This shoud give flexibility to reorganize the platform drivers
per manufacturer and re-sort them.
This patch removes all "if..endif" options from the platform
Kconfig, converting them into depends on.

We have 'struct v4l2_subdev_pad_config' which contains configuration for
a single pad used for the TRY functionality, and an array of those
structs is passed to various v4l2_subdev_pad_ops.
I was working on subdev internal routing between pads, and realized that
there's no way to add TRY functionality for routes, which is not pad
specific configuration. Adding a separate struct for try-route config
wouldn't work either, as e.g. set-fmt needs to know the try-route
configuration to propagate the settings.
This patch adds a new struct, 'struct v4l2_subdev_state' (which at the
moment only contains the v4l2_subdev_pad_config array) and the new
struct is used in most of the places where v4l2_subdev_pad_config was
used. All v4l2_subdev_pad_ops functions taking v4l2_subdev_pad_config
are changed to instead take v4l2_subdev_state.
The changes to drivers/media/v4l2-core/v4l2-subdev.c and
include/media/v4l2-subdev.h were written by hand, and all the driver
changes were done with the semantic patch below. The spatch needs to be
applied to a select list of directories. I used the following shell
commands to apply the spatch:
dirs="drivers/media/i2c drivers/media/platform drivers/media/usb drivers/media/test-drivers/vimc drivers/media/pci drivers/staging/media"
for dir in $dirs; do spatch -j8 --dir --include-headers --no-show-diff --in-place --sp-file v4l2-subdev-state.cocci $dir; done
Note that Coccinelle chokes on a few drivers (gcc extensions?). With
minor changes we can make Coccinelle run fine, and these changes can be
reverted after spatch. The diff for these changes is:

The functions that add an async subdev to an async subdev notifier take
as an argument the size of the container structure they need to
allocate. This is error prone, as passing an invalid size will not be
caught by the compiler. Wrap those functions in macros that take a
container type instead of a size, and cast the returned pointer to the
desired type. The compiler will catch mistakes if the incorrect type is
passed to the macro, as the assignment types won't match.

The use of v4l2_async_notifier_add_subdev will be discouraged.
Drivers are instead encouraged to use a helper such as
v4l2_async_notifier_add_fwnode_remote_subdev.
This fixes a misuse of the API, as v4l2_async_notifier_add_subdev
should get a kmalloc'ed struct v4l2_async_subdev,
removing some boilerplate code while at it.
Use the appropriate helper v4l2_async_notifier_add_fwnode_remote_subdev,

There are lots of drivers that only work when the media controller
and/or the V4L2 subdev APIs are present.
Right now, someone need to first enable those APIs before
using those drivers.
Well, ideally, drivers, should, instead *optionally*
depend on it, in order for PC camera drivers to be able to use
them, but nowadays most drivers are UVC cameras, with don't
require a sensor driver.
So, be it.
Let's instead make them select the MEDIA_CONTROLLER and the
SUBDEV API, in order to make easier for people to be able
of enabling them.

Switch all media platform drivers to call v4l2_async_notifier_add_subdev()
to add asd's to a notifier, in place of referencing the notifier->subdevs[]
array. These drivers also must now call v4l2_async_notifier_init() before
adding asd's to their notifiers.
There may still be cases where a platform driver maintains a list of
asd's that is a duplicate of the notifier asd_list, in which case its
possible the platform driver list can be removed, and can reference the
notifier asd_list instead. One example of where a duplicate list has
been removed in this patch is xilinx-vipp.c. If there are such cases
remaining, those drivers should be optimized to remove the duplicate
platform driver asd lists.
None of the changes to the platform drivers in this patch have been
tested. Verify that the async subdevices needed by the platform are
bound at load time, and that the driver unloads and reloads correctly
with no memory leaking of asd objects.

I ran into a randconfig build error with the new driver:
drivers/media/platform/cadence/cdns-csi2tx.c: In function 'csi2tx_probe':
drivers/media/platform/cadence/cdns-csi2tx.c:477:11: error: implicit declaration of function 'kzalloc'; did you mean 'd_alloc'? [-Werror=implicit-function-declaration]
kzalloc() is declared in linux/slab.h, so let's include this to make it
build in all configurations.

The Cadence MIPI-CSI2 TX controller is an hardware block meant to be used
as a bridge between pixel interfaces and a CSI-2 bus.
It supports operating with an internal or external D-PHY, with up to 4
lanes, or without any D-PHY. The current code only supports the latter
case.
While the virtual channel input on the pixel interface can be directly
mapped to CSI2, the datatype input is actually a selection signal (3-bits)
mapping to a table of up to 8 preconfigured datatypes/formats (programmed
at start-up)
The block supports up to 8 input datatypes.

The clocks enabled by csi2rx_start function are intended to be disabled in
an error path but there are two issues:
1) the loop condition is always true and
2) the first clock disabled is the the one enabling of which failed.
Fix these two bugs by changing the loop condition as well as only disabling
the clocks that were actually enabled.
