2024-09-10IB/qib: Remove unused declarations in header fileZhang Zekun1-4/+0
The definition of qib_rc_rnr_retry() has been removed since commit b4238e70579c ("IB/qib: Use new rdmavt timers"). Also, the definition of mr_rcu_callback() has been remove since commit 7c2e11fe2dbe ("IB/qib: Remove qp and mr functionality from qib"). So, let's remove the unused declartions. 2023-09-22IB/qib: Replace deprecated strncpyJustin Stitt1-1/+1
`strncpy` is deprecated for use on NUL-terminated destination strings [1] and as such we should prefer more robust and less ambiguous string interfaces. We know `txselect_list` is expected to be NUL-terminated based on its use in `param_get_string()`: | int param_get_string(char *buffer, const struct kernel_param *kp) | { | const struct kparam_string *kps = kp->str; | return scnprintf(buffer, PAGE_SIZE, "%s\n", kps->string); | } Note that `txselect_list` is assigned to `kp_txselect`'s string field: | static struct kparam_string kp_txselect = { | .string = txselect_list, | .maxlen = MAX_ATTEN_LEN | }; Wherein it is then assigned the set and get methods: | module_param_call(txselect, setup_txselect, param_get_string, | &kp_txselect, S_IWUSR | S_IRUGO); Considering the above, a suitable replacement is `strscpy` [2] due to the fact that it guarantees NUL-termination on the destination buffer without unnecessarily NUL-padding. 2023-03-30iov_iter: add iter_iovec() helperJens Axboe1-1/+1
This returns a pointer to the current iovec entry in the iterator. Only useful with ITER_IOVEC right now, but it prepares us to treat ITER_UBUF and ITER_IOVEC identically for the first segment. Rename struct iov_iter->iov to iov_iter->__iov to find any potentially troublesome spots, and also to prevent anyone from adding new code that accesses iter->iov directly. 2023-03-19IB/qib: Drop redundant pci_enable_pcie_error_reporting()Bjorn Helgaas1-8/+0
pci_enable_pcie_error_reporting() enables the device to send ERR_* Messages. Since f26e58bf6f54 ("PCI/AER: Enable error reporting when AER is native"), the PCI core does this for all devices during enumeration, so the driver doesn't need to do it itself. Remove the redundant pci_enable_pcie_error_reporting() call from the driver. Note that this only controls ERR_* Messages from the device. An ERR_* Message may cause the Root Port to generate an interrupt, depending on the AER Root Error Command register managed by the AER service driver. 2023-03-19RDMA/qib: Remove deprecated kmap() callIra Weiny1-8/+3
kmap() has been deprecated in favor of the kmap_local_page() call. kmap_local_page() is thread local. In the sdma coalesce case the page allocated is potentially free'ed in a different context through qib_sdma_get_complete() -> qib_user_sdma_make_progress(). The use of kmap_local_page() is inappropriate in this call path. However, the page is allocated using GFP_KERNEL and will never be from highmem.
