2024-05-02drm/amd/display: Check msg_id before processing transcationAlex Hung1-2/+15
[WHY & HOW] HDCP_MESSAGE_ID_INVALID (-1) is not a valid msg_id nor is it a valid array index, and it needs checking before used. This fixes 4 OVERRUN issues reported by Coverity. 2024-02-22drm/amd/display: Drop unnecessary headerRodrigo Siqueira1-2/+0
A long time ago, the slab header was added to multiple files in DC. We also included it in the os_types.h, which is included in many of those DC files. At this point, there is no need to insert the slab.h header in multiple files, so this commit drops those includes. 2023-01-24drm/amd/display: create accessories, hwss and protocols sub folders in linkWenjing Liu1-1/+1
[why] link component contains three sub folders: accessories - utilities for improving testability, logging or tracing, doesn't impact end user use cases. protocols - specs defined protocols used in end user use cases hwss - hwss owned link_hwss object, served as an abstraction layer in hwss to access various types of encoder/phy/dpia endpoints in a unified interface. sooner we will have files directly under link folder one for the implementation of each major link behavior such as link_create, link_detect, link_validate and link_set_dpms. 2021-06-15drm/amd/display: Enforce DPCD Address rangesWesley Chalmers1-0/+1
[WHY] Some DPCD addresses, notably LTTPR Capability registers, are expected to be read all together in a single DPCD transaction. Rather than force callers to read registers they don't need, we want to quietly extend the addresses read, and only return back the values the caller asked for. This does not affect DPCD writes. [HOW] Create an additional layer above AUX to perform 'checked' DPCD transactions. Iterate through an array of DPCD address ranges that are marked as being contiguous. If a requested read falls within one of those ranges, extend the read to include the entire range. After DPCD has been queried, copy the requested bytes into the caller's data buffer, and deallocate all resources used. 2021-03-03drm/amd/display: Fix off by one in hdmi_14_process_transaction()Dan Carpenter1-4/+5
The hdcp_i2c_offsets[] array did not have an entry for HDCP_MESSAGE_ID_WRITE_CONTENT_STREAM_TYPE so it led to an off by one read overflow. I added an entry and copied the 0x0 value for the offset from similar code in drivers/gpu/drm/amd/display/modules/hdcp/hdcp_ddc.c. I also declared several of these arrays as having HDCP_MESSAGE_ID_MAX entries. This doesn't change the code, but it's just a belt and suspenders approach to try future proof the code.
