This is a first cut at a generic DWARF unwinder for the kernel. It's still lacking DWARF64 support and the DWARF expression support hasn't been tested very well but it is generating proper stacktraces on SH for WARN_ON() and NULL dereferences. 2009-08-13sh: Allow multiple stack unwinders to be setupMatt Fleming1-2/+2
Provide an interface for registering stack unwinders, where each unwinder is given a rating that describes its accuracy and complexity. The more accurate an unwinder is, the more complex it is. If a the current stack unwinder faults, then the stack unwinder with the next highest accuracy will be used in its place (provided one is available). For example, this allows unwinders, such as the DWARF unwinder, to liberally sprinkle BUG()s to catch badly formed DWARF debug info. Add Suspend-to-disk / swsusp / CONFIG_HIBERNATION support to the SuperH architecture. To suspend, use "swapon /dev/sda2; echo disk > /sys/power/state" To resume, pass "resume=/dev/sda2" on the kernel command line. The patch "pm: rework includes, remove arch ifdefs V2" is needed to allow the generic swsusp code to build properly. Hibernation is not enabled with this patch though, a patch setting ARCH_HIBERNATION_POSSIBLE will be submitted later. 2009-01-27sh: Fix up GENERIC_GPIO build for ARCH_WANT_OPTIONAL_GPIO cases.Paul Mundt1-1/+1
CPUs define pinmux tables through the optional interface, while boards that require demux of their own require it explicitly. Roll the Makefile rules back to depend on GENERIC_GPIO, which covers both cases. Fixes a link error with an undefined reference to register_pinmux() on optional platforms. This patch updates the SuperH gpio code to make use of gpiolib. The gpiolib callbacks get() and set() are lockless, but we use our own spinlock for the other operations to make sure hardware register bitfield accesses stay atomic. 2008-12-22sh: Kill off cf-enabler with extreme prejudice.Paul Mundt1-1/+0
Now that the rest of the boards that were using cf-enabler "generically" have switched to setting up their mappings on their own, only the mach-se boards were left using it. All of the cf-enabler using mach-se boards use a special initialization of the MRSHPC windows rather than going through the special PTE as other SH-4 platforms do. This consolidates the MRSHPC setup logic, hooks it up on the boards that care, and gets rid of any and all remaining references to cf-enabler. This has been long overdue, as cf-enabler has been the bane of arch/sh/kernel for the last 7 years. Good riddance. Signed-off-by: Paul Mundt <[email protected]>

The pinmux management is tied in to this code, while it is presently only used by platforms that select GENERIC_GPIO. These have been using overrides for ELF_CORE_COPY_TASK_REGS and ELF_CORE_COPY_FPREGS while the generic versions can be used instead. Presently the pt_regs are also duplicated across elf_core_copy_regs() and elf_core_copy_task_regs(), this switches to simply copying out through elf_core_copy_regs() instead. 2008-02-14sh: trapped io support V2Magnus Damm1-0/+1
The idea is that we want to get rid of the in/out/readb/writeb callbacks from the machvec and replace that with simple inline read and write operations to memory. Fast and simple for most hardware devices (think pci). Some devices require special treatment though - like 16-bit only CF devices - so we need to have some method to hook in callbacks. This patch makes it possible to add a per-device trap generating filter. This way we can get maximum performance of sane hardware - which doesn't need this filter - and crappy hardware works but gets punished by a performance hit. V2 changes things around a bit and replaces io access callbacks with a simple minimum_bus_width value. In the future we can add stride as well.
