2021-01-22arch: ia64: Remove rest of perfmon supportViresh Kumar1-297/+0
Perfmon support (used by oprofile earlier) was removed by commit ecf5b72d5f66 ("ia64: Remove perfmon") earlier, but it missed few files to remove/update. Clean it up. 2019-05-21treewide: Add SPDX license identifier for more missed filesThomas Gleixner1-0/+1
Add SPDX license identifiers to all files which: - Have no license information of any form - Have MODULE_LICENCE("GPL*") inside which was used in the initial scan/conversion to ignore the file These files fall under the project license, GPL v2 only. The resulting SPDX license identifier is: GPL-2.0-only Signed-off-by: Thomas Gleixner <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <[email protected]>

2007-10-19Use helpers to obtain task pid in printks (arch code)Alexey Dobriyan1-4/+4
One of the easiest things to isolate is the pid printed in kernel log. There was a patch, that made this for arch-independent code, this one makes so for arch/xxx files. It took some time to cross-compile it, but hopefully these are all the printks in arch code. 2005-04-25[IA64] perfmon: make pfm_sysctl a global, and other cleanupStephane Eranian1-11/+2
- make pfm_sysctl a global such that it is possible to enable/disable debug printk in sampling formats using PFM_DEBUG. - remove unused pfm_debug_var variable - fix a bug in pfm_handle_work where an BUG_ON() could be triggered. There is a path where pfm_handle_work() can be called with interrupts enabled, i.e., when TIF_NEED_RESCHED is set. The fix correct the masking and unmasking of interrupts in pfm_handle_work() such that we restore the interrupt mask as it was upon entry. signed-off-by: stephane eranian <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Tony Luck <[email protected]>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
