2019-08-14dma: iop-adma: allow building without platform headersArnd Bergmann1-919/+0
Now that iop3xx and iop13xx are gone, the iop-adma driver no longer needs to deal with incompatible register layout defined in machine specific header files. Move the iop32x specific definitions into drivers/dma/iop-adma.h and the platform_data into include/linux/platform_data/dma-iop32x.h, and change the machine code to no longer reference those. The DMA0_ID/DMA1_ID/AAU_ID macros are required as part of the platform data interface and still need to be visible, so move those from one header to the other. 2013-11-14dmaengine: remove DMA unmap from driversBartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz1-30/+0
Remove support for DMA unmapping from drivers as it is no longer needed (DMA core code is now handling it). 2010-02-28iop-adma: redundant/wrong tests in iop_*_count()?Roel Kluin1-8/+4
When we reach the loop, len is at least 1, we only stay in the loop when len is at least MAX_BYTE_COUNT + 1, MAX_BYTE_COUNT is subtracted in each iteration. So when we leave the loop, or didn't take it, len is at least 1. Testing whether len is non-zero appears redundant. 2009-08-29iop-adma: P+Q support for iop13xx adma enginesDan Williams1-0/+76
iop33x support is not included because that engine is a bit more awkward to handle in that it can either be in xor mode or pq mode. The dmaengine/async_tx layers currently only comprehend static capabilities. Note iop13xx does not support hardware PQ continuation so the driver must handle the DMA_PREP_CONTINUE flag for operations across > 16 sources. From the comment for dma_maxpq: /* When an engine does not support native continuation we need 3 extra * source slots to reuse P and Q with the following coefficients: * 1/ {00} * P : remove P from Q', but use it as a source for P' * 2/ {01} * Q : use Q to continue Q' calculation * 3/ {00} * Q : subtract Q from P' to cancel (2) */ Signed-off-by: Dan Williams <dan.j.williams@intel.com>
2009-08-29async_tx: add sum check flagsDan Williams1-2/+3
Replace the flat zero_sum_result with a collection of flags to contain the P (xor) zero-sum result, and the soon to be utilized Q (raid6 reed solomon syndrome) zero-sum result. Use the SUM_CHECK_ namespace instead of DMA_ since these flags will be used on non-dma-zero-sum enabled platforms. 2008-11-11iop-adma: use iop_paranoia() for debug BUG_ONsDan Williams1-2/+3
Now that the critical read back to flush the next descriptor address is fixed we can downgrade some BUG_ONs that need only be enabled when testing changes to the driver. Signed-off-by: Dan Williams <dan.j.williams@intel.com>

2008-08-07[ARM] Remove asm/hardware.h, use asm/arch/hardware.h insteadRussell King1-1/+1
Remove includes of asm/hardware.h in addition to asm/arch/hardware.h. Then, since asm/hardware.h only exists to include asm/arch/hardware.h, update everything to directly include asm/arch/hardware.h and remove asm/hardware.h. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
