From 33def8498fdde180023444b08e12b72a9efed41d Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Joe Perches Date: Wed, 21 Oct 2020 19:36:07 -0700 Subject: treewide: Convert macro and uses of __section(foo) to __section("foo") Use a more generic form for __section that requires quotes to avoid complications with clang and gcc differences. Remove the quote operator # from compiler_attributes.h __section macro. Convert all unquoted __section(foo) uses to quoted __section("foo"). Also convert __attribute__((section("foo"))) uses to __section("foo") even if the __attribute__ has multiple list entry forms. Conversion done using the script at: https://lore.kernel.org/lkml/75393e5ddc272dc7403de74d645e6c6e0f4e70eb.camel@perches.com/2-convert_section.pl Signed-off-by: Joe Perches Reviewed-by: Nick Desaulniers Reviewed-by: Miguel Ojeda Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds --- include/linux/interrupt.h | 4 ++-- 1 file changed, 2 insertions(+), 2 deletions(-) (limited to 'include/linux/interrupt.h') diff --git a/include/linux/interrupt.h b/include/linux/interrupt.h index f9aee3538461..ee8299eb1f52 100644 --- a/include/linux/interrupt.h +++ b/include/linux/interrupt.h @@ -792,9 +792,9 @@ extern int arch_early_irq_init(void); * We want to know which function is an entrypoint of a hardirq or a softirq. */ #ifndef __irq_entry -# define __irq_entry __attribute__((__section__(".irqentry.text"))) +# define __irq_entry __section(".irqentry.text") #endif -#define __softirq_entry __attribute__((__section__(".softirqentry.text"))) +#define __softirq_entry __section(".softirqentry.text") #endif -- cgit
