2022-02-23 | libperf: Add API for allocating new thread map array | Tzvetomir Stoyanov (VMware) | 1 | -0/+41
The existing API perf_thread_map__new_dummy() allocates new thread map for one thread. I couldn't find a way to reallocate the map with more threads, or to allocate a new map for more than one thread. Having multiple threads in a thread map is essential for some use cases. That's why a new API is proposed, which allocates a new thread map for given number of threads: perf_thread_map__new_array() Signed-off-by: Tzvetomir Stoyanov (VMware) <[email protected]> Acked-by: Jiri Olsa <[email protected]> Cc: Ian Rogers <[email protected]> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/linux-perf-users/[email protected] Signed-off-by: Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo <[email protected]>
2021-07-07 | libperf: Change tests to single static and shared binaries | Jiri Olsa | 1 | -1/+2
Make tests to be two binaries 'tests_static' and 'tests_shared', so the maintenance is easier. Adding tests under libperf build system, so we define all the flags just once. Adding make-tests tule to just compile tests without running them. 2021-01-15 | libperf tests: If a test fails return non-zero | Ian Rogers | 1 | -1/+1
If a test fails return -1 rather than 0. 2020-01-06 | libperf: Move to tools/lib/perf | Jiri Olsa | 1 | -0/+31
Move libperf from its current location under tools/perf to a separate directory under tools/lib/. Also change various paths (mainly includes) to reflect the libperf move to a separate directory and add a new directory under MANIFEST.
