2019-06-15net: sched: remove NET_CLS_IND config optionJiri Pirko1-1/+1
This config option makes only couple of lines optional. Two small helpers and an int in couple of cls structs. Remove the config option and always compile this in. This saves the user from unexpected surprises when he adds a filter with ingress device match which is silently ignored in case the config option is not set. Convert the cgroup-v1 files to ReST format, in order to allow a later addition to the admin-guide. The conversion is actually: - add blank lines and identation in order to identify paragraphs; - fix tables markups; - add some lists markups; - mark literal blocks; - adjust title markups. At its new index.rst, let's add a :orphan: while this is not linked to the main index.rst file, in order to avoid build warnings. The main changes are: 1) Improve BPF verifier scalability for large programs through two optimizations: i) remove verifier states that are not useful in pruning, ii) stop walking parentage chain once first LIVE_READ is seen. Combined gives approx 20x speedup. Increase limits for accepting large programs under root, and add various stress tests, from Alexei. 2) Implement global data support in BPF. This enables static global variables for .data, .rodata and .bss sections to be properly handled which allows for more natural program development. This also opens up the possibility to optimize program workflow by compiling ELFs only once and later only rewriting section data before reload, from Daniel and with test cases and libbpf refactoring from Joe. 3) Add config option to generate BTF type info for vmlinux as part of the kernel build process. DWARF debug info is converted via pahole to BTF. Latter relies on libbpf and makes use of BTF deduplication algorithm which results in 100x savings compared to DWARF data. This commit adds AF_XDP support to libbpf. The main reason for this is to facilitate writing applications that use AF_XDP by offering higher-level APIs that hide many of the details of the AF_XDP uapi. This is in the same vein as libbpf facilitates XDP adoption by offering easy-to-use higher level interfaces of XDP functionality. Hopefully this will facilitate adoption of AF_XDP, make applications using it simpler and smaller, and finally also make it possible for applications to benefit from optimizations in the AF_XDP user space access code. Previously, people just copied and pasted the code from the sample application into their application, which is not desirable. The interface is composed of two parts: * Low-level access interface to the four rings and the packet * High-level control plane interface for creating and setting up umems and af_xdp sockets as well as a simple XDP program. The netfilter conflicts were rather simple overlapping changes. However, the cls_tcindex.c stuff was a bit more complex. On the 'net' side, Cong is fixing several races and memory leaks. Whilst on the 'net-next' side we have Vlad adding the rtnl-ness support. What I've decided to do, in order to resolve this, is revert the conversion over to using a workqueue that Cong did, bringing us back to pure RCU. I did it this way because I believe that either Cong's races don't apply with have Vlad did things, or Cong will have to implement the race fix slightly differently. Signed-off-by: David S.
