2024-01-05ASoC: tas2562: move tas2563 from tas2562 driver to tas2781 driverShenghao Ding1-3/+0
Move tas2563 from tas2562 driver to tas2781 driver to unbind tas2563 from tas2562 driver code and bind it to tas2781 driver code, because tas2563 only work in bypass-DSP mode with tas2562 driver. In order to enable DSP mode for tas2563, it has been moved to tas2781 driver. As to the hardware part, such as register setting and DSP firmware, all these are stored in the binary firmware. What tas2781 drivder does is to parse the firmware and download it to the chip, then power on the chip. So, tas2781 driver can be resued as tas2563 driver. Only attention will be paid to downloading corresponding firmware. After commit b8a1a4cd5a98 ("i2c: Provide a temporary .probe_new() call-back type"), all drivers being converted to .probe_new() and then 03c835f498b5 ("i2c: Switch .probe() to not take an id parameter") convert back to (the new) .probe() to be able to eventually drop .probe_new() from struct i2c_driver. 2022-09-05ASoC: tas2562: Fix mute/unmuteMartin Povišer1-26/+29
Because the PWR_CTRL field is modeled as the power state of the DAC widget, and at the same time it is used to implement mute/unmute, we need some additional book-keeping to have the right end result no matter the sequence of calls. Without this fix, one permanently mutes an ongoing stream by toggling the associated speaker pin control. (This mirrors commit 1e5907bcb3a3 ("ASoC: tas2770: Fix handling of mute/unmute") which was a fix to the tas2770 driver.) 2022-09-05ASoC: tas2562: Drop conflicting set_bias_level power settingMartin Povišer1-35/+0
The driver is setting the PWR_CTRL field in both the set_bias_level callback and on DAPM events of the DAC widget (and also in the mute_stream method). Drop the set_bias_level callback altogether as the power setting it does is in conflict with the other code paths. (This mirrors commit c8a6ae3fe1c8 ("ASoC: tas2770: Drop conflicting set_bias_level power setting") which was a fix to the tas2770 driver.) 2022-04-25ASoC: tas*: use i2c_match_id and simple i2c probeStephen Kitt1-12/+13
As part of the ongoing i2c transition to the simple probe ("probe_new"), this patch uses i2c_match_id to retrieve the driver_data for the probed device. The id parameter is thus no longer necessary and the simple probe can be used instead. The i2c id tables are moved up before the probe function, as suggested by Wolfram Sang, except where the existing code already had a declaration for the of_device_id table. Add the TAS2110 amplifier to the TAS2562 driver. The TAS2110 is register and bitmap compatible. The chips differ in that the TAS2110 does not have the I/V Sense feedback path. Since these features do not exist the device needs to be registered without these controls. Add Vsense slot configuration based on the device tree. Adding this property enables the slot programming to be moved to the tdm_set_slot callback. This in affect sets the slots for the Isense and Vsense and enabling this these modes are now based on whether these features were powered on or not. Add support for digital volume control. There is no dedicated register for volume control but instead there are 4. The values of the registers are determined with exponential floating point math. So a table was created with register values for 2dB step increments from -110dB to 0dB.
