2023-07-31eventfs: Move tracing/events to eventfsAjay Kaher1-0/+1
Up until now, /sys/kernel/tracing/events was no different than any other part of tracefs. The files and directories within the events directory was created when the tracefs was mounted, and also created for the instances in /sys/kernel/tracing/instances/<instance>/events. Most of these files and directories will never be referenced. Since there are thousands of these files and directories they spend their time wasting precious memory resources. Move the "events" directory to the new eventfs. The eventfs will take the meta data of the events that they represent and store that. When the files in the events directory are referenced, the dentry and inodes to represent them are then created. When the files are no longer referenced, they are freed. This saves the precious memory resources that were wasted on these seldom referenced dentries and inodes. 2023-07-31xen/pci: add flag for PCI passthrough being possibleJuergen Gross1-0/+6
When running as a Xen PV guests passed through PCI devices only have a chance to work if the Xen supplied memory map has some PCI space reserved. Add a flag xen_pv_pci_possible which will be set in early boot in case the memory map has at least one area with the type E820_TYPE_RESERVED. 2023-07-30eventfs: Implement removal of meta data from eventfsAjay Kaher1-0/+4
When events are removed from tracefs, the eventfs must be aware of this. The eventfs_remove() removes the meta data from eventfs so that it will no longer create the files associated with that event. When an instance is removed from tracefs, eventfs_remove_events_dir() will remove and clean up the entire "events" directory. The helper function eventfs_remove_rec() is used to clean up and free the associated data from eventfs for both of the added functions. SRCU is used to protect the lists of meta data stored in the eventfs. The eventfs_mutex is used to protect the content of the items in the list. As lookups may be happening as deletions of events are made, the freeing of dentry/inodes and relative information is done after the SRCU grace period has passed. Add following functions to create the directories in eventfs: eventfs_create_events_dir() will create the top level "events" directory within the tracefs file system. eventfs_add_subsystem_dir() creates an eventfs_file descriptor with the given name of the subsystem. eventfs_add_dir() creates an eventfs_file descriptor with the given name of the directory and attached to a eventfs_file of a subsystem. 2023-07-30RDMA/irdma: Allow accurate reporting on QP max send/recv WRSindhu Devale1-0/+6
Currently the attribute cap.max_send_wr and cap.max_recv_wr sent from user-space during create QP are the provider computed SQ/RQ depth as opposed to raw values passed from application. This inhibits computation of an accurate value for max_send_wr and max_recv_wr for this QP in the kernel which matches the value returned in user create QP. Also these capabilities needs to be reported from the driver in query QP. Add support by extending the ABI to allow the raw cap.max_send_wr and cap.max_recv_wr to be passed from user-space, while keeping compatibility for the older scheme. The internal HW depth and shift needed for the WQs needs to be computed now for both kernel and user-mode QPs. Add new helpers to assist with this: irdma_uk_calc_depth_shift_sq, irdma_uk_calc_depth_shift_rq and irdma_uk_calc_depth_shift_wq. Consolidate all the user mode QP setup into a new function irdma_setup_umode_qp which keeps it with its counterpart irdma_setup_kmode_qp. 2023-07-29net: gro: fix misuse of CB in udp socket lookupRichard Gobert1-0/+43
This patch fixes a misuse of IP{6}CB(skb) in GRO, while calling to `udp6_lib_lookup2` when handling udp tunnels. `udp6_lib_lookup2` fetch the device from CB. The fix changes it to fetch the device from `skb->dev`. l3mdev case requires special attention since it has a master and a slave device. 2023-07-28netfilter: bpf: Support BPF_F_NETFILTER_IP_DEFRAG in netfilter linkDaniel Xu1-0/+5
This commit adds support for enabling IP defrag using pre-existing netfilter defrag support. Basically all the flag does is bump a refcnt while the link the active. Checks are also added to ensure the prog requesting defrag support is run _after_ netfilter defrag hooks. We also take care to avoid any issues w.r.t. module unloading -- while defrag is active on a link, the module is prevented from unloading. We want to be able to enable/disable IP packet defrag from core bpf/netfilter code. In other words, execute code from core that could possibly be built as a module. To help avoid symbol resolution errors, use glue hooks that the modules will register callbacks with during module init. I'm about to add support for kernel handshake API consumers to send TLS Alerts, so introduce the needed protocol definitions in the new header tls_prot.h. This presages support for Closure alerts. Also, support for alerts is a pre-requite for handling session re-keying, where one peer will signal the need for a re-key by sending a TLS Alert.
