2016-07-17eeprom: at24: support reading the serial number for 24csxxBartosz Golaszewski1-0/+1
The chips from the at24cs family have two memory areas - a regular read-write block and a read-only area containing the serial number. The latter is visible on a different slave address (the address of the rw memory block + 0x08). In order to access both blocks the user needs to instantiate a regular at24c device for the rw block address and a corresponding at24cs device on the serial number block address. Add a function that allows to access the serial number and assign it to at24->read_func if the chip allows serial number read operations and the driver was passed the relevant flag for this device. 2016-07-12ARM: ux500: use CLK_OF_DECLARE()Arnd Bergmann1-17/+0
The ux500 DT support predates the CLK_OF_DECLARE macro and calls directly into the clk driver from platform code. Converting this to CLK_OF_DECLARE makes the code much nicer and similar to how modern platforms do it today. 2016-06-09net: dsa: b53: Add support for Broadcom RoboSwitchFlorian Fainelli1-0/+33
This patch adds support for Broadcom's BCM53xx switch family, also known as RoboSwitch. Some of these switches are ubiquituous, found in home routers, Wi-Fi routers, DSL and cable modem gateways and other networking related products. This drivers adds the library driver (b53_common.c) as well as a few bus glue drivers for MDIO, SPI, Switch Register Access Block (SRAB) and memory-mapped I/O into a SoC's address space (Broadcom BCM63xx/33xx). Basic operations are supported to bring the Layer 1/2 up and running, but not much more at this point, subsequent patches add the remaining features. 2016-04-28ARM: OMAP2+: Add more functions to pwm pdata for ir-rx51Tony Lindgren2-0/+22
Before we start removing omap3 legacy booting support, let's make n900 DT booting behave the same way for ir-rx51 as the legacy booting does. For now, we need to pass pdata to the ir-rx51 driver. This means that the n900 tree can move to using DT based booting without having to carry all the legacy platform data with it when it gets dropped from the mainline tree. Note that the ir-rx51 driver is currently disabled because of the dependency to !ARCH_MULTIPLATFORM. This will get sorted out later with the help of drivers/pwm/pwm-omap-dmtimer.c. But first we need to add chained IRQ support to dmtimer code to avoid introducing new custom frameworks. So let's just pass the necessary dmtimer functions to ir-rx51 so we can get it working in the following patch. 2016-04-13dmaengine: dw: rename masters to reflect actual topologyAndy Shevchenko1-4/+4
The source and destination masters are reflecting buses or their layers to where the different devices can be connected. The patch changes the master names to reflect which one is related to which independently on the transfer direction. The outcome of the change is that the memory data width is now always limited by a data width of the master which is dedicated to communicate to memory. The patch will not break anything since all current users have the same data width for all masters. Though it would be nice to revisit avr32 platforms to check what is the actual hardware topology in use there. It seems that it has one bus and two masters on it as stated by Table 8-2, that's why everything works independently on the master in use. The purpose of the sequential patch is to fix the driver for configuration of more than one bus. The change is done in the assumption that src_master and dst_master are reflecting a connection to the memory and peripheral correspondently on avr32 and otherwise on the rest. Pull networking updates from David Miller: "Highlights: 1) Support more Realtek wireless chips, from Jes Sorenson. 2) New BPF types for per-cpu hash and arrap maps, from Alexei Starovoitov. 3) Make several TCP sysctls per-namespace, from Nikolay Borisov. 4) Allow the use of SO_REUSEPORT in order to do per-thread processing of incoming TCP/UDP connections. The muxing can be done using a BPF program which hashes the incoming packet. From Craig Gallek. 5) Add a multiplexer for TCP streams, to provide a messaged based interface. BPF programs can be used to determine the message boundaries. From Tom Herbert. 6) Add 802.1AE MACSEC support, from Sabrina Dubroca. 7) Avoid factorial complexity when taking down an inetdev interface with lots of configured addresses. We were doing things like traversing the entire address less for each address removed, and flushing the entire netfilter conntrack table for every address as well. 8) Add and use SKB bulk free infrastructure, from Jesper Brouer. 9) Allow offloading u32 classifiers to hardware, and implement for ixgbe, from John Fastabend. 10) Allow configuring IRQ coalescing parameters on a per-queue basis, from Kan Liang. 11) Extend ethtool so that larger link mode masks can be supported. From David Decotigny. 12) Introduce devlink, which can be used to configure port link types (ethernet vs Infiniband, etc.), port splitting, and switch device level attributes as a whole. From Jiri Pirko. 13) Hardware offload support for flower classifiers, from Amir Vadai. 14) Add "Local Checksum Offload". Basically, for a tunneled packet the checksum of the outer header is 'constant' (because with the checksum field filled into the inner protocol header, the payload of the outer frame checksums to 'zero'), and we can take advantage of that in various ways. Originally I only wanted to drop the unneeded inclusion of <linux/i2c.h>, but then noticed that struct microread_nfc_platform_data isn't actually used, and MICROREAD_DRIVER_NAME is redefined in the only file where it is used, so we can get rid of the header file and dead code altogether.
