2022-11-24driver core: make struct class.devnode() take a const *Greg Kroah-Hartman1-1/+1
The devnode() in struct class should not be modifying the device that is passed into it, so mark it as a const * and propagate the function signature changes out into all relevant subsystems that use this callback. 2022-11-09driver core: class: make namespace and get_ownership take const *Greg Kroah-Hartman1-2/+2
The callbacks in struct class namespace() and get_ownership() do not modify the struct device passed to them, so mark the pointer as constant and fix up all callbacks in the kernel to have the correct function signature. This helps make it more obvious what calls and callbacks do, and do not, modify structures passed to them. Cc: "Rafael J. 2020-11-09drivers: base: fix some kernel-doc markupsMauro Carvalho Chehab1-0/+14
class_create is actually defined at the header. Fix the markup there and add a new one at the right place. While here, also fix some markups for functions that have different names between their prototypes and kernel-doc comments. 2019-12-16device.h: move 'struct class' stuff out to device/class.hGreg Kroah-Hartman1-0/+266
device.h has everything and the kitchen sink when it comes to struct device things, so split out the struct class things things to a separate .h file to make things easier to maintain and manage over time.
