2019-05-30treewide: Replace GPLv2 boilerplate/reference with SPDX - rule 209Thomas Gleixner1-1/+1
Based on 1 normalized pattern(s): released under gpl v2 extracted by the scancode license scanner the SPDX license identifier GPL-2.0-only has been chosen to replace the boilerplate/reference in 15 file(s). 2014-06-06scsi: convert use of typedef ctl_table to struct ctl_tableJoe Perches1-3/+3
This typedef is unnecessary and should just be removed. Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <[email protected]>
2009-11-18sysctl: Drop & in front of every proc_handler.Eric W. Biederman1-1/+1
For consistency drop & in front of every proc_handler. Explicity taking the address is unnecessary and it prevents optimizations like stubbing the proc_handlers to NULL. 2009-11-12sysctl drivers: Remove dead binary sysctl supportEric W. Biederman1-6/+3
Now that sys_sysctl is a wrapper around /proc/sys all of the binary sysctl support elsewhere in the tree is dead code. 2007-07-18[SCSI] small cleanupsAdrian Bunk1-0/+1
This patch contains the following cleanups: - make needlessly global functions static - every file should #include the headers containing the prototypes for it's global functions Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: James Bottomley <[email protected]>
2007-02-14[PATCH] sysctl: remove insert_at_head from register_sysctlEric W. Biederman1-1/+1
The semantic effect of insert_at_head is that it would allow new registered sysctl entries to override existing sysctl entries of the same name. Which is pain for caching and the proc interface never implemented. I have done an audit and discovered that none of the current users of register_sysctl care as (excpet for directories) they do not register duplicate sysctl entries. So this patch simply removes the support for overriding existing entries in the sys_sysctl interface since no one uses it or cares and it makes future enhancments harder. Signed-off-by: Eric W. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
