2024-01-31pinctrl: renesas: pinctrl-rzg2l: Add the missing port pins P19 to P28Lad Prabhakar1-9/+204
Add the missing port pins P19 to P28 for RZ/Five SoC. These additional pins provide expanded capabilities and are exclusive to the RZ/Five SoC. Couple of port pins have different configuration and are not identical for the complete port so introduce struct rzg2l_variable_pin_cfg to handle such cases and introduce the PIN_CFG_VARIABLE macro. The actual pin config is then assigned in rzg2l_pinctrl_get_variable_pin_cfg(). Add an additional check in rzg2l_gpio_get_gpioint() to only allow GPIO pins which support interrupt facility. While at define RZG2L_GPIO_PORT_PACK() using RZG2L_GPIO_PORT_SPARSE_PACK(). Update the gpio-ranges property in the RZ/Five SoC DTSI, as it must match the driver. 2024-01-31pinctrl: renesas: rzg2l: Include pinmap in RZG2L_GPIO_PORT_PACK() macroLad Prabhakar1-27/+29
Currently we assume all the port pins are sequential ie always PX_0 to PX_n (n=1..7) exist, but on RZ/Five SoC we have additional pins P19_1 to P28_5 which have holes in them, for example only one pin on port19 is available and that is P19_1 and not P19_0. So to handle such cases include pinmap for each port which would indicate the pin availability on each port. As the pincount can be calculated based on pinmap drop this from RZG2L_GPIO_PORT_PACK() macro. Previously we had a max of 7 pins on each port but on RZ/Five Port-20 has 8 pins, so move the single pin configuration to BIT(63). 2024-01-31pinctrl: renesas: rzg2l: Fix locking in rzg2l_dt_subnode_to_map()Claudiu Beznea1-10/+10
Commit d3aaa7203a17 ("pinctrl: renesas: rzg2l: Add pin configuration support for pinmux groups") introduced the possibility to parse pin configuration for pinmux groups. It did that by calling rzg2l_map_add_config() at the end of rzg2l_dt_subnode_to_map() and jumping to the remove_group label in case rzg2l_map_add_config() failed. But if that happens, the mutex will already be unlocked, thus this it will lead to double mutex unlock operation. To fix this move the rzg2l_map_add_config() call just after all the name argument is ready and before the mutex is locked. There is no harm in doing this, as this only parses the data from device tree that will be further processed by pinctrl core code. 2023-12-15pinctrl: renesas: rzg2l: Add output enable supportClaudiu Beznea1-2/+85
Some of the Ethernet pins on RZ/G3S (but also valid for RZ/G2L) need to have the direction of the IO buffer set as output for Ethernet to work properly. On RZ/G3S, these pins are P1_0/P7_0, P1_1/P7_1, and can have the following Ethernet functions: TXC/TX_CLK or TX_CTL/TX_EN. As the pins supporting output enable are SoC specific, and there is a limited number of these pins (TXC/TX_CLK and/or TX_CTL/TX_EN), specify output enable capable port limits in the platform-based configuration data structure, to ensure proper validation. 2023-12-15pinctrl: renesas: rzg2l: Add support to select power source for Ethernet pinsClaudiu Beznea1-3/+39
The GPIO controller available on RZ/G3S (but also on RZ/G2L) supports setting the power source for Ethernet pins. Based on the interface b/w the Ethernet controller and the Ethernet PHY, and on board design, a specific power source needs to be selected. The GPIO controller supports 1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V power source selection for the Ethernet pins. This can be selected though the ETHx_POC registers (x={0, 1}). Adjust the driver to support this, and to do proper instantiation for the RZ/G3S and RZ/G2L SoCs. On RZ/G2L only the get operation has been tested at the moment. While at it, as the power registers on RZ/G2L support access sizes of 8 bits, and these registers on RZ/G3S support access sizes of 8/16/32 bits, replace writel()/readl() on these registers with writeb()/readb(). This should allow us to use the same code on both SoCs w/o any issues. Available power sources are 1v8, 2v5, 3v3. Drive strength values are more fine tuned than what was previously available on the driver thus the necessity of having micro-amp support. 2023-10-13pinctrl: renesas: rzg2l: Index all registers based on port offsetClaudiu Beznea1-86/+88
To get the address that needs to be read/written for specific port functionalities, the P(), PM(), PMC(), PFC(), PIN(), IOLH() IEN(), ISEL() macros are used. Some of these macros receive as argument the hardware port identifier, some the hardware port offset address (e.g. ISEL() received port identifier, IOLH() received port offset address). This makes it hard to extend the current driver for SoCs where port identifiers are not contiguous in the memory map of the pin controller. This is the case for the RZ/G3S pin controller where ports are mapped as follows: port offset port identifier ----------- --------------- 0x20 P0 0x21 P5 0x22 P6 0x23 P11 0x24 P12 0x25 P13 0x26 P14 0x27 P15 0x28 P16 0x29 P17 0x2a P18 0x30 P1 0x31 P2 0x32 P3 0x33 P4 0x34 P7 0x35 P8 0x36 P8 0x37 P10 To make this achievable, change all the above macros used to get the address of a port register for a specific port functionality based on the port hardware address. Summarized, all the above macros will get as argument the port offset address listed in the above table. With this RZG2L_SINGLE_PIN_GET_PORT_OFFSET(), RZG2L_PIN_ID_TO_PORT_OFFSET() and RZG2L_GPIO_PORT_GET_INDEX() were replaced by RZG2L_PIN_CFG_TO_PORT_OFFSET(); RZG2L_SINGLE_PIN_GET_CFGS() and RZG2L_GPIO_PORT_GET_CFGS() were replaced by RZG2L_PIN_CFG_TO_CAPS(). Also rzg2l_pinctrl_set_pfc_mode() does not need the port argument anymore. Also rzg2l_gpio_direction_input() and rzg2l_gpio_direction_output() do not need to translate port and bit locally as this can be done by rzg2l_gpio_set_direction(). To use the same naming for port, bit/pin, and register offset, replace the port_offset variable names in different places by variables named off. There is no longer a need to initialize cfg and bit in different code places. 2023-07-20pinctrl: Explicitly include correct DT includesRob Herring1-1/+2
The DT of_device.h and of_platform.h date back to the separate of_platform_bus_type before it as merged into the regular platform bus. As part of that merge prepping Arm DT support 13 years ago, they "temporarily" include each other. They also include platform_device.h and of.h. As a result, there's a pretty much random mix of those include files used throughout the tree. In order to detangle these headers and replace the implicit includes with struct declarations, users need to explicitly include the correct includes. Since commit 8b41fc4454e ("kbuild: create modules.builtin without Makefile.modbuiltin or tristate.conf"), MODULE_LICENSE declarations are used to identify modules. As a consequence, uses of the macro in non-modules will cause modprobe to misidentify their containing object file as a module when it is not (false positives), and modprobe might succeed rather than failing with a suitable error message. So remove it in the files in this commit, none of which can be built as modules.
