There is no need to call the dev_err() function directly to print a
custom message when handling an error from either the platform_get_irq() or
platform_get_irq_byname() functions as both are going to display an
appropriate error message in case of a failure.
This change is as per suggestions from Coccinelle, e.g.,
drivers/pci/controller/dwc/pcie-armada8k.c:252:2-9: line 252 is
redundant because platform_get_irq() already prints an error

devm_pci_remap_cfg_resource() will print an error message by itself when
goes wrong, so remove the duplicate error message.

devm_of_phy_get_by_index() can fail for a number of reasons besides
probe deferral. It can for example return -ENOMEM if it runs out of
memory as it tries to allocate devres structures. Propagating only
-EPROBE_DEFER is problematic because it results in these legitimately
fatal errors being treated as "PHY not specified in DT".
What we really want is to ignore the optional PHYs only if they have not
been specified in DT. devm_of_phy_get_by_index() returns -ENODEV in this
case, so that's the special case that we need to handle. So we propagate
all errors, except -ENODEV, so that real failures will still cause the
driver to fail probe.

Bring PHY support for the Armada8k driver.
The Armada8k IP only supports x1, x2 or x4 link widths. Iterate over
the DT 'phys' entries and configure them one by one. Use
phy_set_mode_ext() to make use of the submode parameter (initially
introduced for Ethernet modes). For PCI configuration, let the submode
be the width (1, 2, 4, etc) so that the PHY driver knows how many
lanes are bundled. Do not error out in case of error for compatibility
reasons.

Revert commit 3d71746c42 ("PCI: armada8k: Add support for gpio controlled
reset signal").
That commit breaks boot on Macchiatobin board when a Mellanox NIC is
present in the PCIe slot.
It turns out that full reset cycle requires first comphy serdes
initialization. Reset signal toggle without comphy initialization makes
access to PCI configuration registers stall indefinitely. U-Boot toggles
the Macchiatobin PCIe reset line already at boot, after initializing the
comphy serdes.
So while commit 3d71746c42 ("PCI: armada8k: Add support for gpio controlled
reset signal") enables PCIe on platforms that U-Boot does not touch the
reset line (like Clearfog GT-8K), it breaks PCIe (and boot) on the
Macchiatobin board.
Revert commit 3d71746c42 ("PCI: armada8k: Add support for gpio controlled
reset signal") entirely to fix the Macchiatobin regression.

Add support for the gpio reset signal binding as described in the
designware-pcie.txt DT binding document. Both the documented
'reset-gpio' property name and the more standard 'reset-gpios' name are
supported.

Function dw_pcie_host_init() already initializes the root_bus_nr field
of 'struct pcie_port', so the -1 assignment prior to calling
dw_pcie_host_init() in platform specific driver is not really needed.
Drop it.

Native PCI drivers for root complex devices were originally all in
drivers/pci/host/. Some of these devices can also be operated in endpoint
mode. Drivers for endpoint mode didn't seem to fit in the "host"
directory, so we put both the root complex and endpoint drivers in
per-device directories, e.g., drivers/pci/dwc/, drivers/pci/cadence/, etc.
These per-device directories contain trivial Kconfig and Makefiles and
clutter drivers/pci/. Make a new drivers/pci/controllers/ directory and
collect all the device-specific drivers there.
No functional change intended.
