2018-05-16gpio: mc33880: Include the right headerLinus Walleij1-1/+1
This is a driver so only include <linux/gpio/driver.h>. Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <[email protected]>
2016-01-05gpio: mc33880: use gpiochip data pointerLinus Walleij1-2/+2
This makes the driver use the data pointer added to the gpio_chip to store a pointer to the state container instead of relying on container_of(). Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <[email protected]>
2015-11-19gpio: change member .dev to .parentLinus Walleij1-1/+1
The name .dev in a struct is normally reserved for a struct device that is let us say a superclass to the thing described by the struct. struct gpio_chip stands out by confusingly using a struct device *dev to point to the parent device (such as a platform_device) that represents the hardware. As we want to give gpio_chip:s real devices, this is not working. We need to rename this member to parent. This was done by two coccinelle scripts, I guess it is possible to combine them into one, but I don't know such stuff. They look like this: @@ struct gpio_chip *var; @@ -var->dev +var->parent and: @@ struct gpio_chip var; @@ -var.dev +var.parent and: @@ struct bgpio_chip *var; @@ -var->gc.dev +var->gc.parent Plus a few instances of bgpio that I couldn't figure out how to teach Coccinelle to rewrite. This patch hits all over the place, but I *strongly* prefer this solution to any piecemal approaches that just exercise patch mechanics all over the place. It mainly hits drivers/gpio and drivers/pinctrl which is my own backyard anyway. 2015-10-28spi: Drop owner assignment from spi_driversAndrew F. Davis1-1/+0
An spi_driver does not need to set an owner, it will be populated by the driver core. Signed-off-by: Andrew F. Davis <[email protected]> Acked-by: Jonathan Cameron <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <[email protected]>

2013-12-04gpio/pinctrl: make gpio_chip members typed booleanLinus Walleij1-1/+1
This switches the two members of struct gpio_chip that were defined as unsigned foo:1 to bool, because that is indeed what they are. Switch all users in the gpio and pinctrl subsystems to assign these values with true/false instead of 0/1. The users outside these subsystems will survive since true/false is 1/0, atleast we set some kind of more strict typing example. Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <[email protected]>
2013-09-23gpio: gpio-mc33880: Remove redundant spi_set_drvdataSachin Kamat1-3/+0
Driver core sets driver data to NULL upon failure or remove. Signed-off-by: Sachin Kamat <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <[email protected]>
2013-08-16gpio: use dev_get_platdata()Jingoo Han1-1/+1
Use the wrapper function for retrieving the platform data instead of accessing dev->platform_data directly. Signed-off-by: Jingoo Han <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <[email protected]>
2013-03-27gpio: mc33880: use spi_get_drvdata() and spi_set_drvdata()Jingoo Han1-4/+4
Use the wrapper functions for getting and setting the driver data using spi_device instead of using dev_{get|set}_drvdata with &spi->dev, so we can directly pass a struct spi_device. Signed-off-by: Jingoo Han <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <[email protected]>
2013-03-27gpio: mc33880: use dev_err() instead of printk()Jingoo Han1-1/+2
dev_err() is more preferred than printk(). Signed-off-by: Jingoo Han <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <[email protected]>

2011-10-31drivers/gpio: Fix drivers who are implicit users of module.hPaul Gortmaker1-0/+1
A pending cleanup will mean that module.h won't be implicitly everywhere anymore. Make sure the modular drivers in gpio are actually calling out for <module.h> explicitly in advance. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <[email protected]>
2011-06-06gpio: reorganize driversGrant Likely1-0/+197
Sort the gpio makefile and enforce the naming convention gpio-*.c for gpio drivers. v2: cleaned up filenames in Kconfig and comment blocks v3: fixup use of BASIC_MMIO to GENERIC_GPIO for mxc Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <[email protected]>
