2021-05-27ARM: dts: OMAP2+: Replace underscores in sub-mailbox node namesSuman Anna8-20/+20
A number of sub-mailbox node names in various OMAP2+ dts files are currently using underscores. This is not adhering to the node name convention, fix all of these to use hiphens. These nodes are already using the prefix mbox, so they will be in compliance with the sub-mailbox node name convention being added in the OMAP Mailbox YAML binding as well. The OMAP sub-mailbox used to communicate with the Wakeup M3 remote processor is currently named wkup_m3. This name can be confused with the remote processor node. So, rename this to mbox-wkup-m3 to remove the ambiguity and to also adhere to the sub-mailbox node name convention being added in the OMAP Mailbox YAML binding. 2021-05-25ARM: dts: renesas: Move enable-method to CPU nodesGeert Uytterhoeven10-10/+28
According to Documentation/devicetree/bindings/arm/cpus.yaml, the "enable-method" property should be a property of the individual CPU nodes, and not of the parent "cpus" container node. However, on R-Car Gen2 and RZ/G1 SoCs, the property is tied to the "cpus" node instead. Secondary CPU bringup and CPU hot (un)plug work regardless, as arm_dt_init_cpu_maps() falls back to looking in the "cpus" node. The cpuidle code does not have such a fallback, so it does not detect the enable-method. Note that cpuidle does not support the "renesas,apmu" enable-method yet, so for now this does not make any difference. 2021-05-21ARM: dts: dra76-evm: remove ov5640Tomi Valkeinen1-35/+0
DRA76 EVM boards are not shipped with OV5640 sensor module, it is a separate purchase. OV5640 module is also just one of the possible sensors or capture boards you can connect. However, for some reason, OV5640 has been added to the board dts file, making it cumbersome to use other sensors. Remove the OV5640 from the dts file so that it is easy to use other sensors via DT overlays. 2021-05-12ARM: dts: ixp4xx: Create a proper expansion busLinus Walleij3-31/+48
The IXP4xx expansion bus is 24 bits (256 MB) that is memory mapped between 0x50000000-0x5fffffff usin a set of chip selects. The size of the windows is 16 or 32MB defined by the boot loader system configuration at runtime. Create a rudimentary simple-bus and move the flash memories to the expansion bus, inside the SoC. We maintain .gitignore and Makefiles so build artifacts are properly ignored by Git, and cleaned up by 'make clean'. However, the code is always changing; generated files are often moved to another directory, or removed when they become unnecessary. Such garbage files tend to be left over in the source tree because people usually git-pull without cleaning the tree. This is not only the noise for 'git status', but also a build issue in some cases. One solution is to remove a stale file like commit 223c24a7dba9 ("kbuild: Automatically remove stale <linux/version.h> file") did. Such workaround should be removed after a while, but we forget about that if we scatter the workaround code in random places. So, this commit adds a new script to collect cleanings of stale files.
