The idea impressed in the commit b32e592d3c28 ("devicetree: bindings:
Document qcom board compatible format") never got actually adopted. As
can be seen from the existing board DT files, no device actually used
the PMIC / foundry / version parts of the compatible string. Drop this
compatibility string description to avoid possible confusion and keep
just the generic terms and the SoC list.

Refer to commit fd10cde9294f ("KVM paravirt: Add async PF initialization
to PV guest") and commit 344d9588a9df ("KVM: Add PV MSR to enable
asynchronous page faults delivery"). It turns out that at the time when
asyncpf was introduced, the purpose was defining the shared PV data 'struct
kvm_vcpu_pv_apf_data' with the size of 64 bytes. However, it made a mistake
and defined the size to 68 bytes, which failed to make fit in a cache line
and made the code inconsistent with the documentation.
Below justification quoted from Sean[*]
KVM (the host side) has *never* read kvm_vcpu_pv_apf_data.enabled, and
the documentation clearly states that enabling is based solely on the
bit in the synthetic MSR.
So rather than update the documentation, fix the goof by removing the
enabled filed and use the separate percpu variable instread.
KVM-as-a-host obviously doesn't enforce anything or consume the size,
and changing the header will only affect guests that are rebuilt against
the new header, so there's no chance of ABI breakage between KVM and its
guests. The only possible breakage is if some other hypervisor is
emulating KVM's async #PF (LOL) and relies on the guest to set
kvm_vcpu_pv_apf_data.enabled. But (a) I highly doubt such a hypervisor
exists, (b) that would arguably be a violation of KVM's "spec", and
(c) the worst case scenario is that the guest would simply lose async
#PF functionality.

The only remaining user of ->d_real() method is d_real_inode(), which
passed NULL inode argument to get the real data dentry.
There are no longer any users that call ->d_real() with a non-NULL
inode argument for getting a detry from a specific underlying layer.
Remove the inode argument of the method and replace it with an integer
'type' argument, to allow callers to request the real metadata dentry
instead of the real data dentry.
All the current users of d_real_inode() (e.g. uprobe) continue to get
the real data inode. Caller that need to get the real metadata inode
(e.g. IMA/EVM) can use d_inode(d_real(dentry, D_REAL_METADATA)).

imx8mp-hdmi-blk-ctrl
Per guidance from the NXP downstream kernel, if the clock is
disabled before HDMI/LCDIF probe, LCDIF will not get pixel
clock from HDMI PHY and throw an error:
[CRTC:39:crtc-2] vblank wait timed out
WARNING: CPU: 2 PID: 9 at drivers/gpu/drm/drm_atomic_helper.c:
1634 drm_atomic_helper_wait_for_vblanks.part.0+0x23c/0x260
Fix this by adding the fdcc clock to the hdmi_blk_ctrl. This
should be safe, since neither this power domain nor the dependent
HDMI and LCDIF drivers been enabled or added to the SoC device
tree yet.
According to Sandor Yu from NXP, "the FDCC clock is not for HDMITX
in desgin, but it is part of HDMI domain that needed by HDMITX.
So I think it is reasonable added it to the power domain driver."
The driver also supports two power domains which are missing from the binding
that also fix an issue with resuming from suspend.

Add support for the independent control state machine per IEEE
802.1AX-2008 5.4.15 in addition to the existing implementation of the
coupled control state machine.
Introduces two new states, AD_MUX_COLLECTING and AD_MUX_DISTRIBUTING in
the LACP MUX state machine for separated handling of an initial
Collecting state before the Collecting and Distributing state. This
enables a port to be in a state where it can receive incoming packets
while not still distributing. This is useful for reducing packet loss when
a port begins distributing before its partner is able to collect.
Added new functions such as bond_set_slave_tx_disabled_flags and
bond_set_slave_rx_enabled_flags to precisely manage the port's collecting
and distributing states. Previously, there was no dedicated method to
disable TX while keeping RX enabled, which this patch addresses.
Note that the regular flow process in the kernel's bonding driver remains
unaffected by this patch. The extension requires explicit opt-in by the
user (in order to ensure no disruptions for existing setups) via netlink
support using the new bonding parameter coupled_control. The default value
for coupled_control is set to 1 so as to preserve existing behaviour.

5c0338c68706 ("workqueue: restore WQ_UNBOUND/max_active==1 to be ordered")
automoatically promoted UNBOUND workqueues w/ @max_active==1 to ordered
workqueues because UNBOUND workqueues w/ @max_active==1 used to be the way
to create ordered workqueues and the new NUMA support broke it. These
problems can be subtle and the fact that they can only trigger on NUMA
machines made them even more difficult to debug.
However, overloading the UNBOUND allocation interface this way creates other
issues. It's difficult to tell whether a given workqueue actually needs to
be ordered and users that legitimately want a min concurrency level wq
unexpectedly gets an ordered one instead. With planned UNBOUND workqueue
udpates to improve execution locality and more prevalence of chiplet designs
which can benefit from such improvements, this isn't a state we wanna be in
forever.
There aren't that many UNBOUND w/ @max_active==1 users in the tree and the
preceding patches audited all and converted them to
alloc_ordered_workqueue() as appropriate. This patch removes the implicit
promotion of UNBOUND w/ @max_active==1 workqueues to ordered ones.
v2: v1 patch incorrectly dropped !list_empty(&wq->pwqs) condition in

The servers for the @codeaurora domain have long been retired and any
messages sent there bounce. Srinivasa Rao Mandadapu has left the
company and there does not appear to be an updated address to suggest,
so drop Srinivasa as maintainer of the binding. The binding still
appears to be maintined as Judy is listed.

The MEDIA_PAD_FL_MUST_CONNECT flag indicates that the pad requires an
enabled link to stream, but only if it has any link at all. This makes
little sense, as if a pad is part of a pipeline, there are very few use
cases for an active link to be mandatory only if links exist at all. A
review of in-tree drivers confirms they all need an enabled link for
pads marked with the MEDIA_PAD_FL_MUST_CONNECT flag.
Expand the scope of the flag by rejecting pads that have no links at
all. This requires modifying the pipeline build code to add those pads
to the pipeline.

The mtd binding is always $ref'ed by other bindings, default selector
should be from other binding files which ref'ed it. Now, "$nodename" in
mtd.yaml turns into a "select" automatically such that a few binding check
issues reported because it conflicts with sram devices(eg, qcom, imem.yaml,
rules in folder sram/*)
To avoid the automatically created "select" in mtd.yaml, adding:
select: false
