2023-03-28ASoC: dt-bindings: qcom,lpass-rx-macro: narrow clocks per variantsKrzysztof Kozlowski1-14/+44
Currently the Qualcomm RX macro codec binding allows two different clock setups - with (for ADSP) and without macro/dcodec entries (for ADSP bypassed). With more devices coming soon, this will keep growing, thus rework the clocks/clock-names to be specific for each binding. 2023-03-23ASoC: dt-bindings: wlf,wm8994: Convert to dtschemaKrzysztof Kozlowski2-112/+194
Convert the Wolfson WM1811/WM8994/WM8958 audio codecs bindings to DT schema. Changes against original binding: 1. Add missing LDO1VDD-supply and LDO2VDD-supply. 2. Use "gpios" suffix for wlf,ldo1ena and wlf,ldo2ena (Linux kernel's gpiolib already looks for both variants). 3. Do not require AVDD1-supply and DCVDD-supply, because at least on Arndale board with Exynos5250 these are being supplied by internal LDOs. 2023-03-20Enable I2S support for RK3588/RK3588S SoCsMark Brown3-0/+16
Merge series from Cristian Ciocaltea <cristian.ciocaltea@collabora.com>: There are five I2S/PCM/TDM controllers and two I2S/PCM controllers embedded in the RK3588 and RK3588S SoCs. Furthermore, RK3588 provides four additional I2S/PCM/TDM controllers. This patch series adds the required device tree nodes to support all the above. Additionally, it enables analog audio support for the Rock 5B SBC, which has been used to test both audio playback and recording.

Merge series from Lucas Tanure <lucas.tanure@collabora.com>: Valve's Steam Deck uses CS35L41 in shared boost mode, where both speakers share the boost circuit. 2023-03-06Add the PowerQUICC audio support using the QMCMark Brown1-0/+117
Merge series from Herve Codina <herve.codina@bootlin.com>: This series adds support for audio using the QMC controller available in some Freescale PowerQUICC SoCs. This series contains three parts in order to show the different blocks hierarchy and their usage in this support. The first one is related to TSA (Time Slot Assigner). The TSA handles the data present at the pin level (TDM with up to 64 time slots) and dispatchs them to one or more serial controller (SCC). The second is related to QMC (QUICC Multichannel Controller). The QMC handles the data at the serial controller (SCC) level and splits again the data to creates some virtual channels. The last one is related to the audio component (QMC audio). It is the glue between the QMC controller and the ASoC component. It handles one or more QMC virtual channels and creates one DAI per QMC virtual channels handled.

There are no compatible for "reg/reg-names" and "clock-name" between previous R-Car series and R-Car Gen4. "reg/reg-names" needs 3 categorize (for Gen1, for Gen2/Gen3, for Gen4), therefore, use 3 if-then to avoid nested if-then-else. https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/broonie/sound into for-linus ASoC: Fixes for v6.3 Almost all of this is driver specific fixes and new IDs that have come in during the merge window. A good chunk of them are simple ones from me which came about due to a bunch of Mediatek Chromebooks being enabled in KernelCI, there's more where that came from. We do have one small feature added to the PCM core by Claudiu Beznea in order to allow the sequencing required to resolve a noise issue with the Microchip PDMC driver.
2023-02-28ASoC: dt-bindings: sama7g5-pdmc: add microchip,startup-delay-us bindingClaudiu Beznea1-0/+6
PDMC can work with different types of microphones, thus different boards could have different microphones. Depending on microphone type the PDMC would need to wait longer or shorter period (at startup) than the default chosen one to filter unwanted noise. Thus add microchip,startup-delay-us binding to let PDMC users to specify startup delay. Pull SoC DT updates from Arnd Bergmann: "About a quarter of the changes are for 32-bit arm, mostly filling in device support for existing machines and adding minor cleanups, mostly for Qualcomm and Samsung based machines. Two new 32-bit SoCs are added, both are quad-core Cortex-A7 chips from Rockchips that have been around for a while but were lacking kernel support so far: RV1126 is a Vision SoC with an NPU and is used in the Edgeble Neural Compute Module 2(Neu2) board, while RK3128 is design for TV boxes and so far only comes with a dts for its refernece design. The other 32-bit boards that were added are two ASpeed AST2600 based BMC boards, the Microchip sam9x60_curiosity development board (Armv5 based!), the Enclustra PE1 FPGA-SoM baseboard, and a few more boards for i.MX53 and i.MX6ULL. On the RISC-V side, there are fewer patches, but a total of ten new single-board computers based on variations of the Allwinner D1/T113 chip, plus one more board based on Microchip Polarfire. As usual, arm64 has by far the most changes here, with over 700 non-merge changesets, among them over 400 alone for Qualcomm. The newly added SoCs this time are all recent high-end embedded SoCs for various markets, each on comes with support for its reference board: - Qualcomm SM8550 (Snapdragon 8 Gen 2) for mobile phones - Qualcomm QDU1000/QRU1000 5G RAN platform - Rockchips RK3588/RK3588s for tablets, chromebooks and SBCs - TI J784S4 for industrial and automotive applications In total, there are 46 new arm64 machines: - Reference platforms for each of the five new SoCs - Three Amlogic based development boards - Six embedded machines based on NXP i.MX8MM and i.MX8MP - The Mediatek mt7986a based Banana Pi R3 router - Six tablets based on Qualcomm MSM8916 (Snapdragon 410), SM6115 (Snapdragon 662) and SM8250 (Snapdragon 865) - Two LTE dongles, also based on MSM8916 - Seven mobile phones, based on Qualcomm MSM8953 (Snapdragon 610), SDM450 and SDM632 - Three chromebooks based on Qualcomm SC7280 (Snapdragon 7c) - Nine development boards based on Rockchips RK3588, RK3568, RK3566 and RK3328. - Five development machines based on TI K3 (AM642/AM654/AM68/AM69) The cleanup of dtc warnings continues across all platforms, adding to the total number of changes" * tag 'soc-dt-6.3' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/soc/soc: (1035 commits) dt-bindings: riscv: correct starfive visionfive 2 compatibles ARM: dts: socfpga: Add enclustra PE1 devicetree dt-bindings: altera: Add enclustra mercury PE1 arm64: dts: qcom: msm8996: align RPM G-Link clock-controller node with bindings arm64: dts: qcom: qcs404: align RPM G-Link node with bindings arm64: dts: qcom: ipq6018: align RPM G-Link node with bindings arm64: dts: qcom: sm8550: remove invalid interconnect property from cryptobam arm64: dts: qcom: sc7280: Adjust zombie PWM frequency arm64: dts: qcom: sc8280xp-pmics: Specify interrupt parent explicitly arm64: dts: qcom: sm7225-fairphone-fp4: enable remaining i2c busses arm64: dts: qcom: sm7225-fairphone-fp4: move status property down arm64: dts: qcom: pmk8350: Use the correct PON compatible arm64: dts: qcom: sc8280xp-x13s: Enable external display arm64: dts: qcom: sc8280xp-crd: Introduce pmic_glink arm64: dts: qcom: sc8280xp: Add USB-C-related DP blocks arm64: dts: qcom: sm8350-hdk: enable GPU arm64: dts: qcom: sm8350: add GPU, GMU, GPU CC and SMMU nodes arm64: dts: qcom: sm8350: finish reordering nodes arm64: dts: qcom: sm8350: move more nodes to correct place arm64: dts: qcom: sm8350: reorder device nodes ...
