2021-12-27dt-bindings: phy: cadence-torrent: Rename SSC macros to use generic namesSwapnil Jakhade1-2/+2
Rename SSC macros to use generic names instead of PHY specific names, so that they can be used to specify SSC modes for both Torrent and Sierra. Renaming the macros should not affect the things as these are not being used in any DTS file yet. 2021-06-21dt-bindings: Drop redundant minItems/maxItemsRob Herring1-4/+0
If a property has an 'items' list, then a 'minItems' or 'maxItems' with the same size as the list is redundant and can be dropped. Note that is DT schema specific behavior and not standard json-schema behavior. The tooling will fixup the final schema adding any unspecified minItems/maxItems. This condition is partially checked with the meta-schema already, but only if both 'minItems' and 'maxItems' are equal to the 'items' length. An improved meta-schema is pending. No functional change. In order to have a single header file for all Cadence SERDES move phy-cadence-torrent.h to phy-cadence.h. 2020-05-14dt-bindings: Fix incorrect 'reg' property sizesRob Herring1-19/+25
The examples template is a 'simple-bus' with a size of 1 cell for had between 2 and 4 cells which really only errors on I2C or SPI type devices with a single cell. The easiest fix in most cases is to change the 'reg' property to for 1 cell address and size. In some cases with child devices having 2 cells, that doesn't make sense so a bus node is needed. 2020-05-03dt-bindings: Remove cases of 'allOf' containing a '$ref'Rob Herring1-9/+6
json-schema versions draft7 and earlier have a weird behavior in that any keywords combined with a '$ref' are ignored (silently). The correct form was to put a '$ref' under an 'allOf'. This behavior is now changed in the 2019-09 json-schema spec and '$ref' can be mixed with other keywords. The json-schema library doesn't yet support this, but the tooling now does a fixup for this and either way works. This has been a constant source of review comments, so let's change this treewide so everyone copies the simpler syntax. Scripted with ruamel.yaml with some manual fixups. Some minor whitespace changes from the script. 2020-03-20dt-bindings: phy: Add Cadence MHDP PHY bindings in YAML format.Yuti Amonkar1-0/+143
- Add Cadence MHDP PHY bindings in YAML format. - Add Torrent PHY reference clock bindings. - Add sub-node bindings for each group of PHY lanes based on PHY type. Each sub-node includes properties such as master lane number, link reset, phy type, number of lanes etc. - Add reset support including PHY reset and individual lane reset. - Add a new compatible string used for TI SoCs using Torrent PHY. This will not affect ABI as the driver has never been functional, and therefore do not exist in any active use case.
