This patch introduces the use of devm_ioremap_resource instead of
request_mem_region and ioremap. The error handling on
platform_get_resource and the error message for ioremap are removed. The
function devm_kzalloc replaces memory allocation by unmanaged kzalloc. The
function calls to free the allocated memory in the probe and remove
functions are done away with. Some labels are removed and a label error
is added to make is less specific to the context. The debug message is
removed as devm_ioremap generates debug messages of its own.

There's no power/persist file for hubs. And CONFIG_USB_PERSIST was
removed in v2.6.26. Update the description of power/persist accordingly.
Also remove the line on its default value. It is not entirely correct, as
CONFIG_USB_DEFAULT_PERSIST and the USB_QUIRK_RESET flag influence the
default. It is not needed to understand this file anyhow.

As far as kzalloc() is called with spinlock held,
we have to pass GFP_ATOMIC regardless of mem_flags argument.

The R-Car H2 and M2 SoCs come with an xHCI controller that requires
some specific initializations related to the firmware downloading and
some specific registers. This patch adds the support for this special
configuration as an xHCI quirk executed during probe and start.

This patch remove the function klsi_105_tiocmset which was only

Resuming a powered down port sometimes results in the port state being
stuck in the training sequence.
hub 3-0:1.0: debounce: port 1: total 2000ms stable 0ms status 0x2e0
port1: can't get reconnection after setting port power on, status -110
hub 3-0:1.0: port 1 status 0000.02e0 after resume, -19
usb 3-1: can't resume, status -19
hub 3-0:1.0: logical disconnect on port 1
In the case above we wait for the port re-connect timeout of 2 seconds
and observe that the port status is USB_SS_PORT_LS_POLLING (although it
is likely toggling between this state and USB_SS_PORT_LS_RX_DETECT).
This is indicative of a case where the device is failing to progress the
link training state machine.
It is resolved by issuing a warm reset to get the hub and device link
state machines back in sync.
hub 3-0:1.0: debounce: port 1: total 2000ms stable 0ms status 0x2e0
usb usb3: port1 usb_port_runtime_resume requires warm reset
hub 3-0:1.0: port 1 not warm reset yet, waiting 50ms
usb 3-1: reset SuperSpeed USB device number 2 using xhci_hcd
After a reconnect timeout when we expect the device to be present, force
a warm reset of the device. Note that we can not simply look at the
link status to determine if a warm reset is required as any of the
training states USB_SS_PORT_LS_POLLING, USB_SS_PORT_LS_RX_DETECT, or
USB_SS_PORT_LS_COMP_MOD are valid states that do not indicate the need
for warm reset by themselves.

When a USB device is disconnected, usb_unbind_interface is called, which
tries to enable and disable LPM. usb_enable_lpm also try to send a
control command SET SEL to the device.
Since device is already disconnected, therefore it does not make sense
to execute usb_(en/dis)able_lpm.
This patch returns from usb_(en/dis)able_lpm, if device was not in
default state atleast.

Therefore enable it in platform data for all dwc3 based xhci device if
DWC3_HOST_USB3_LPM_ENABLE is selected in Kconfig.

As best case, a host controller should support U0 to U1 switching for
the devices connected below any tier of hub level supported by usb
specification. Therefore xhci_check_tier_policy should always return
success as default implementation.
A host should be able to issue LGO_Ux after the timeout calculated as
per definition of system exit latency defined in C.1.5.2. Therefore
xhci_calculate_ux_timeout returns ux_params.sel as the default
implementation.
Use default calculation in absence of any vendor specific limitations.

Add code to poll the channel since we process only one message
at a time and the host may not interrupt us. Also increase the
receive buffer size since some KVP messages are close to 8K bytes in size.

Starting with Win8, we have implemented several optimizations to improve the
scalability and performance of the VMBUS transport between the Host and the
Guest. Some of the non-performance critical services cannot leverage these
optimization since they only read and process one message at a time.
Make adjustments to the callback dispatch code to account for the way
non-performance critical drivers handle reading of the channel.

If we don't check the current backing device status, balance_dirty_pages can
fall into infinite pausing routine.
This can be occurred when a lot of directories make a small number of dirty
dentry pages including files.

If an inode is renamed, it should be registered as file_lost_pino to conduct
checkpoint at f2fs_sync_file.
Otherwise, the inode cannot be recovered due to no dent_mark in the following
scenario.
Note that, this scenario is from xfstests/322.
1. create "a"
2. fsync "a"
3. rename "a" to "b"
4. fsync "b"
5. Sudden power-cut
After recovery is done, "b" should be seen.
However, the result shows "a", since the recovery procedure does not enter
recover_dentry due to no dent_mark.
The reason is like below.
- The nid of "a" is checkpointed during #2, f2fs_sync_file.
- The inode page for "b" produced by #3 is written without dent_mark by
sync_node_pages.
So, this patch fixes this bug by assinging file_lost_pino to the "a"'s inode.
If the pino is lost, f2fs_sync_file conducts checkpoint, and then recovers
the latest pino and its dentry information for further recovery.

If we fail in this path:
->init_inode_metadata
->make_empty_dir
->get_new_data_page
->grab_cache_page return -ENOMEM
We will bug on in error path of init_inode_metadata when call remove_inode_page
because i_block = 2 (one inode block will be released later & one dentry block).
We should release the dentry block in init_inode_metadata to avoid this BUG_ON,
and avoid leak of dentry block resource, because we never have second chance to
release that block in ->evict_inode as in upper error path we make this inode
'bad'.

This patch add lower bound verification for nid in check_nid_range, so nids
reserved like 0, node, meta passed by caller could be checked there.
And then check_nid_range could be used in f2fs_nfs_get_inode for simplifying
code.

The soc_button_array PNP driver was introduced in 3.15.
But in commit eec15edbb0e1 (ACPI / PNP: use device ID list for
PNPACPI device enumeration), when reworking the PNPACPI device
enumeration, we missed the soc_button_array device ID.
This results in a regression in 3.16-rc1 that soc_button_array
pnp device fails to be enumerated.
Fix the problem by adding soc_button_array device ID into the
acpi_pnp scan handler's ID list.

The panel power sequencer on vlv doesn't appear to accept changes to its
T12 power down duration during warm reboots. This change forces a delay
for warm reboots to the T12 panel timing as defined in the VBT table for
the connected panel.

The console subsystem only provides a function to switch to a given
console, but we want to actually only switach away from vgacon.
Unconditionally switching to the dummy console resulted in switching
away from fbcon in multi-gpu setups when other gpu drivers are loaded
before i915.
Then either the reinitialization of fbcon when i915 registers its
fbdev emulation or the teardown of the fbcon driver killed the
machine. So only switch to the dummy console when it's required.
Kudos to Chris for the original idea, I've only refined it a bit to
still unregister vgacon even when it's currently unused.
This regression has been introduced in

On most gen2-4 platforms the GTT can be (or maybe always is?)
inside the stolen memory region. If that's the case, reduce the
size of the stolen memory appropriately to make make sure we
don't clobber the GTT.

We should keep DEVICE_READY bit set in the ULPS enter sequence. In
exit sequence also we should set DEVICE_READY, but thats causing
blankout for me. Also exit sequence is simplified as per hw team
recommendation.

While sending DPI SHUTDOWN command, we cannot wait for FIFO empty as
pipes are not disabled at that time. In case of MIPI we disable port
first and send SHUTDOWN command while pipe is still running and FIFOs
will not be empty, causing spurious error log

backlight although its VBT reports otherwise. Apply quirk to ignore the
backlight presence check during backlight setup.
