All vchi users use the kernel variant of the copy callback. The only user for the user space variant of the copy callback is in the ioctl implementation. So move all this copying logic into vchiq, and expose a new function that explicitly passes kernel messages. This patch removes the expression that makes use of a priori knowledge about channel numbers to calculate an array index. The expression 'peer = 1 - channel' utilizes the fact that an USB interface that operates on the asynchronous data of the Network only has two endpoints. Hence, channel being 0 or 1. The replacement is more simple and less confusing when reading the code. 2020-05-27staging: vt6656: Move vnt_tx_usb_header to vnt_tx_contextMalcolm Priestley6-43/+31
Move the USB element out of vnt_tx_packet and vnt_beacon_xmit to vnt_tx_context with sk_buff passed in parameters with the data now between skb->data and skb->len. The vnt_tx_usb header is moved from vnt_tx_buffer to usbpipe.h with the size added to extra_tx_headroom the largest possible size. The CONTEXT enums types are aligned with usb ones and CONTEXT_MGMT_PACKET is removed and is never be used. The skb_push in vnt_tx_packet is now only ever used with vnt_get_hdr_size with variables tx_bytes and tx_header_size removed. buf_len in vnt_usb_send_context is no longer used and replaced with urb->actual_length in vnt_tx_context_complete. The sk_buff needs to preserved for copying to various parts of context and passing back to mac80211 clone sk_buff in context so to continue to writing to orginal sk_buff data area to send in vnt_tx_context. dev_kfree_skb the context on error or dev_kfree_skb the orignal when done. The error handling continues as before. Only one place in function needs to change from ieee80211_get_hdrlen_from_skb to ieee80211_hdrlen(hdr) which is already to pointing to correct position. At the very end of the MACsec block initialization in the MSCC PHY driver, the MACsec "protocol mode" is set. This setting should be set based on the PHY id within the package, as the bank used to access the register used depends on this. This was not done correctly, and only the first bank was used leading to the two upper PHYs being unstable when using the VSC8584. This patch fixes it. Commit 14b41a2959fb ("net: stmmac: Delete txtimer in suspend") was the first attempt to fix a race between mod_timer() and setup_timer() during stmmac_resume(). However the issue still exists as the commit only addressed half of the issue. Same race can still happen as stmmac_resume() re-attaches interface way too early - even before hardware is fully initialized. 2020-05-23sparc32: fix page table traversal in srmmu_nocache_init()Mike Rapoport1-2/+2
The srmmu_nocache_init() uses __nocache_fix() macro to add an offset to page table entry to access srmmu_nocache_pool. But since sparc32 has only three actual page table levels, pgd, p4d and pud are essentially the same thing and pgd_offset() and p4d_offset() are no-ops, the __nocache_fix() should be done only at PUD level. Remove __nocache_fix() for p4d_offset() and pud_offset() and keep it only for PUD and lower levels.
