After we converted the capabilities of our networking-bpf program from
cap_sys_admin to cap_net_admin+cap_bpf, our networking-bpf program
failed to start. Because it failed the bpf verifier, and the error log
is "R3 pointer comparison prohibited".
A simple reproducer as follows,
SEC("cls-ingress")
int ingress(struct __sk_buff *skb)
{
struct iphdr *iph = (void *)(long)skb->data + sizeof(struct ethhdr);
if ((long)(iph + 1) > (long)skb->data_end)
return TC_ACT_STOLEN;
return TC_ACT_OK;
}
Per discussion with Yonghong and Alexei [1], comparison of two packet
pointers is not a pointer leak. This patch fixes it.
Our local kernel is 6.1.y and we expect this fix to be backported to
6.1.y, so stable is CCed.

Notice that it is not necessary to assign tick_intercept_sum in every
iteration of the first loop over idle states in teo_select(), because
the intercept_sum value does not change after the assignment in a
given iteration of the loop, so its value after the last iteration of
the loop can be used for computing the tick_intercept_sum value
directly.
Modify the code accordingly.
No intentional functional impact.

Like a few other drivers, YMFPCI driver needs to clean up with
snd_card_free() call at an error path of the probe; otherwise the
other devres resources are released before the card and it results in
the UAF.
This patch uses the helper for handling the probe error gracefully.

Currently ztailpacking pclusters are chained with FOLLOWED_NOINPLACE and
not recorded into the managed_pslots XArray.
After commit 7674a42f35ea ("erofs: use struct lockref to replace
handcrafted approach"), ztailpacking pclusters won't be freed with
erofs_workgroup_put() anymore, which will cause the following issue:
BUG erofs_pcluster-1 (Tainted: G OE ): Objects remaining in erofs_pcluster-1 on __kmem_cache_shutdown()

It's a straight-forward conversion except that readahead_folio()
will do folio_put() in advance but it doesn't matter since folios
are still locked.
As before, since file-backed folios (pages for now) are locked, so
we could temporarily use folio->private as an internal counter to
indicate split parts of each folio for the corresponding pclusters
to decompress.
When such counter becomes zero, the folio will be finally unlocked
(see compress.h and z_erofs_onlinepage_endio()).

However, de-duplicated decompression has been landed in a more flexable

Currently when ath12k_dp_cc_desc_init() is called we allocate
memory to rx_descs and tx_descs. In ath12k_dp_cc_cleanup(), during
descriptor cleanup rx_descs and tx_descs memory is not freed.
This is cause of memory leak. These allocated memory should be
freed in ath12k_dp_cc_cleanup.
In ath12k_dp_cc_desc_init(), we can save base address of rx_descs
and tx_descs. In ath12k_dp_cc_cleanup(), we can free rx_descs and
tx_descs memory using their base address.

while trying to fix the above warning, it reveals that ath5k_hw_get_median_noise_floor()
had open-coded sort() functionality. Since ath5k_hw_get_median_noise_floor() only
executes once every 10 seconds, any extra overhead due to sort() calling

Don't queue more gc work, else we may queue the same elements multiple
times.
If an element is flagged as dead, this can mean that either the previous
gc request was invalidated/discarded by a transaction or that the previous
request is still pending in the system work queue.
The latter will happen if the gc interval is set to a very low value,
e.g. 1ms, and system work queue is backlogged.
The sets refcount is 1 if no previous gc requeusts are queued, so add
a helper for this and skip gc run if old requests are pending.

When a function is using functions from mac80211 to free an skb then it
should do it consistently and not switch to the generic dev_kfree_skb_any

When a station idles for a long time, hostapd will try to send a QoS Null
frame to the station as "poll". NL80211_CMD_PROBE_CLIENT is used for this
purpose. And the skb will be added to ack_status_frame - waiting for a
completion via ieee80211_report_ack_skb().
But when the peer was already removed before the tx_complete arrives, the
peer will be missing. And when using dev_kfree_skb_any (instead of going
through mac80211), the entry will stay inside ack_status_frames. This IDR
will therefore run full after 8K request were generated for such clients.
At this point, the access point will then just stall and not allow any new
clients because idr_alloc() for ack_status_frame will fail.
ieee80211_free_txskb() on the other hand will (when required) call
ieee80211_report_ack_skb() and make sure that (when required) remove the
entry from the ack_status_frame.

In the vendor driver, the current channel power is queried from
EEPROM_TXPOWER_BG1 and EEPROM_TXPOWER_BG2. And then the mixed value
will be written into the low half-word of the TX_ALC_CFG_0 register.
The high half-word of the TX_ALC_CFG_0 is a fixed value 0x2f2f.
We can't get the accurate TX power. Based on my tests and the new
MediaTek mt76 driver source code, the real TX power is approximately
equal to channel_power + (max) rate_power. Usually max rate_power is
the gain of the OFDM 6M rate, which can be readed from the offset
EEPROM_TXPOWER_BYRATE +1.
Based on these eeprom values, this patch adds basic TX power control
for the MT7620 and limits its maximum TX power. This can avoid the
link speed decrease caused by chip overheating. rt2800_config_alc()
function has also been renamed to rt2800_config_alc_rt6352() because
it's only used by RT6352 (MT7620).
Notice:
It's still need some work to sync the max channel power to the user
interface. This part is missing from the rt2x00 driver framework. If
we set the power exceed the calibration value, it won't take effect.

Pull xfs online fsck update from Darrick Wong:
New code for 6.6:
* Allow the kernel to initiate a freeze of a filesystem. The kernel
and userspace can both hold a freeze on a filesystem at the same
time; the freeze is not lifted until /both/ holders lift it. This
will enable us to fix a longstanding bug in XFS online fsck.
* Use kernel-initated fsfreeze to fix some longstanding false negatives
in online fsck of the free space and inode counters.
