Pull tty / serial driver updates from Greg KH: "Here is the "big" set of tty/serial driver updates for 6.12-rc1. Nothing major in here, just nice forward progress in the slow cleanup of the serial apis, and lots of other driver updates and fixes. Included in here are: - serial api updates from Jiri to make things more uniform and sane - 8250_platform driver cleanups - samsung serial driver fixes and updates - qcom-geni serial driver fixes from Johan for the bizarre UART engine that that chip seems to have. 6pack: remove global strings

They are __init, so they are freed after init is done. But this obfuscates the code. Provided these days, we usually don't print anything if everything has gone fine, drop the info print completely (along with now unused and always artificial SIXPACK_VERSION). net: handle HAS_IOPORT dependencies

In a future patch HAS_IOPORT=n will disable inb()/outb() and friends at compile time. We thus need to add HAS_IOPORT as dependency for those drivers requiring them. For the DEFXX driver the use of I/O ports is optional and we only need to fence specific code paths. It also turns out that with HAS_IOPORT handled explicitly HAMRADIO does not need the !S390 dependency and successfully builds the bpqether driver. hamradio: replace deprecated strncpy with strscpy_pad

strncpy() is deprecated for use on NUL-terminated destination strings [1] and as such we should prefer more robust and less ambiguous string interfaces. We expect both hi.data.modename and hi.data.drivername to be NUL-terminated based on its usage with sprintf: | sprintf(hi.data.modename, "%sclk,%smodem,fclk=%d,bps=%d%s", | bc->cfg.intclk ? "int" : "ext", | bc->cfg.extmodem ? "ext" : "int", bc->cfg.fclk, bc->cfg.bps, | bc->cfg.loopback ? ",loopback" : ""); Note that this data is copied out to userspace with: | if (copy_to_user(data, &hi, sizeof(hi))) ... however, the data was also copied FROM the user here: | if (copy_from_user(&hi, data, sizeof(hi))) Considering the above, a suitable replacement is strscpy_pad() as it guarantees NUL-termination on the destination buffer while also NUL-padding (which is good+wanted behavior when copying data to userspace).
