It is not recommened to use platform_get_resource(pdev, IORESOURCE_IRQ) for requesting IRQ's resources any more, as they can be not ready yet in case of DT-booting. platform_get_irq() instead is a recommended way for getting IRQ even if it was not retrieved earlier. It also makes code simpler because we're getting "int" value right away and no conversion from resource to int is required. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
